  1. Is the one time cipher one of the EN backup codes? if so, then, how does its normally look when using Authy? What can I expect? thank you
  2. Thank you. The backup keys...are those the ones that Evernote provides? If I lose my phone or can't access Authy for some reason, can I still access Evernote using those backup codes and bypass the authenticator? I did find the EN QR code, and set up a cloud backup code within Authy. I'm not sure if I did everything correct, or what to look for when logging in, in the future. I'm still logged in to all the EN apps, I'm just nervous about logging out and if I did it right. For future log ins, do I still need to scan QR codes or enter the tokens manually?
  3. How do you set up Authy with Evernote? I have an iPhone with the Authy app installed. I have a Mac desktop that I also need to sync. Do I only need the Authy app on the iPhone to sync to the Mac? Where do I find the QR code for Evernote? BTW, I only use the Evernote app on the Mac and iPhone (I don't usually log into the actual website). Do I even need an authenticator if I only use my phone app or desktop app?anyway? All the new changes in Evernote has been such a time waster for me. I'm not a tech person, and they don't make this intuitive or straightforward. I also don't want Google authenticator.
  4. Ok…for those who just want simplicity and an app that’s intuitive and just works as expected, Apple Notes is great. It reminds me of the Evernote I fell in love with years ago. I still see thumbnail images (just like Evernote snippets or icon view), and I can organize my notes exactly the same way. And Notes is surprisingly advanced. I had an old note in Evernote from my dad’s memorial about a story that was told. Then I just went to a family reunion and saw a photo of that story, as well as getting a video clip of another family member sharing that story about my dad. So once I imported my note into Apple, I also added that photo and video to that same note. What a cool way to remember stories! I can collaborate, annotate. I’m just saying this because Apple Notes has come a long way, and it just keeps getting better. Plus on an Apple platform, the OCR search feature is lightening speed. I don’t think Evernote has ever worked fast with Apple platforms. I can access all my notes so much faster on my iPhone. If someone needs Evernote for some other reason, then stay with Evernote. I can buy a new Mac every several years with the savings though. 🤔
  5. If you have Apple, Notes is so much like Evernote used to be! And it’s free. And no device limits. I love it so far and I’m using iCloud just for Notes so it syncs to all my devices.
  6. Thank you. I tried logging back into the desktop app again and somehow it randomly started working again tonight without me doing anything different. I do have to say Evernote has been glitchy. It used to work a lot smoother back in the early days of its release. I do have all the correct passwords to use now, and which keychain passwords to avoid.
  7. I think the problem was that I somehow made a different account years ago that was never used. There aren’t any notes in it. Instead of deleting it, somehow I think I stored the password for it and logged into today. Then I realized that’s not the account I needed to sign into. I’m not trying to take advantage of the system. I was successfully signed into just my Mac and iPhone. But now I’ve messed it up after Evernote encountered an error and suggested I quit or restart. Now I can’t get back in.
  8. I don’t have time to do this right now. Will this automatically reset next month so I can unsync a device so I can use the Evernote app on my Mac? I see my notes on my iPhone app, but I don’t know if I can export entire notebooks on my phone. Also, if I don’t want the Google security feature, will I be locked out of my notes permanently? What is my deadline?
  9. I’ve been a premium user paying annually for the last ten years. I wasn’t thrilled with the price increase because Evernote was getting worse each year, and I barely uploaded anything each month and the price hike is simply unaffordable. Even when I try searching for notes, Evernote is so slow that I would just give up trying to find things. So I wanted to downgrade to free, and just pay for a month at a time when I needed to upload. And now I can’t get access to my notes. Please help me sign in.
  10. At this point I can’t even gain access to my account. Evernote was having technical difficulties so I signed out and then couldn’t log back in. So I reset the password, but now it says I have to unsync a device. I clicked on unsync and it said I’ve already done that this too many times this month. What? I’ve only done this once to get the free account set up. And now somehow I’m locked out. Beyond frustrated at the time and energy Evernote is causing. How can I access my account so I can continue exporting my notes out of it? Help please!
  11. I used to be able to open one of my notes within Evernote, right click on it, and select "save" or "save as" and I could get a pdf copy of it on my Mac desktop. Now for the life of me, I don't know how to get anything to export...or if it does export, I can't open it. I've dumped way too much money into Evernote to just have them leave me stranded here! Not happy at all.
  12. I found that switching to Apple’s Notes is so improved that I actually like it better than Legacy Evernote! I’ll be willing to pay for iCloud storage if my library exceeds the free version, and it will be sooo much less than Evernote’s extortion subscription now. You’re welcome! I can even save web articles with all the imagery and same filing system as EN, it’s just way easier to use and far more intuitive.
