Well, when a bad note comes up I guess I can just use one of my tricks to covert it to "proper spacing" and then create a new note that will be OK. I will keep an eye out for the fix.

OK, I get that. Now if evernote fixes the problem, I assume it will NOT retroactively repair old notes, but will only be that new notes will not show the problem. Is that how it works?
I have the identical problem, and I also use Thunderbird for email. Is there a way in which I can be notified when this problem is fixed?
PS: I have tow workarounds if I have to send the contents of the "corrupted" note to someone: (1) I retrieve the original email and forward that or (2) I copy the text frm the evernote and paste it into Word in the format that eliminates the random spaces.
