  1. I don't know much about the interface yet. I'll need practice. Still, since it's Microsoft it ought 🤞to be around for a while. Other apps seem to come and go too quickly.
  2. It looks like it worked! Thanks so much. Now I need to really figure out how to use OneNote efficiently so I can find notes individually. It will take some re-arranging, and maybe looking at a tutorial or two.
  3. Thanks. That worked. Now to get them into OneNote-- suggestions?
  4. I want to export my notes to One Note which I gather requires exporting notebooks in ENEX format. Instructions say to SELECT a notebook on Evernote then click EXPORT and choose ENEX as the format. The problem is that the option to export does not show up. I've tried right-clicking on the notebook name, just clicking on the notebook name, clicking on all the little ... icons. Nowhere do I see EXPORT. Help please!
  5. DevonThink is not an option for me. I'm a Windows and Android. Also, it's 'way too expensive for a casual user like myself. A quick online search looks like there are some options that sync online between platforms.
  6. I gather that there are many EN users who are becoming less than happy with the app, for many reasons. I've been playing with OneNote, and am having trouble getting my EN data transferred. EN exports the data, but the OneNote app to import that data doesn't work. Again, many people have this problem and unless anyone has a foolproof (haha) way of getting my stuff into OneNote, that's not what I'm looking for here. I'm hand transcribing EN notes that are most important and that I use most frequently and will leave the rest in EN and use those as needed. It strikes me that among the most import factors in choosing an EN alternative are longevity (how long will that new app be supported) and how easy it would be to transfer my data if, in the future, I don't like the new app, or support for it stops. This is why I'm curious about open source note apps. From the little I understand about open source, it seems like it ought to be simple to transfer notes and other data. Would an open source app be more prone to hacking? Anyone tried such an app? Thanks.
  7. Haha-- I saw your post on my cell phone browser and "respective" was truncated to "respe"
  8. I can export the.enex files but the OneNote importer doesn't find the. It's basically a crappy APP.
  9. I'm only using the freebie Evernote and have been fairly happy with it, but lately it's gotten too cluttered for my very simple note taking needs. Lately I haven't been able to delete old notes, or pictures with in notes. This is on the Windows app, Windows network client and Android on two devices. I'd like to experiment with OneNote but have run into a problem. The one note Evernote to OneNote importer hasn't worked for me. I've tried exporting Evernote files to my PC and then using the importer to add them to OneNote, but that doesn't work either. I can appreciate that Evernote doesn't want to encourage people to move from their platform, but in my opinion, notes that I've created should be viewed as my property and I should have access to them to move or delete as I see fit.
  10. I'm thinking of moving to OneNote too for many reasons. However, it's not easy peasy! There is an importer which supposedly lets you import Evernote files to OneNote, but I haven't been able to get it to work, and many others report the same issue. I've been hand entering some of my most important Evernote notes into OneNote which is a pain in the butt. Some of the notes I want to move contain photos that I want to move to OneNote, but can't seem to be able to. Some I can retake right in OneNote, others I can't.
  11. Some of the notes are old, some are very new. I'd just like to clean house. No luck on the web client either.
  12. These are my own notes. I don't do any note sharing. Selecting a note brings it up , but hitting DELETE does nothing unless the cursor happens to be on a line of text in which case, it deletes the next character after the cursor
  13. I have some old notes in Evernote ,Windows and Android, that I'd like to delete, but I can't find how to do it. Naturally I searched for advice. Trouble is, the advice does not work. To delete a note in Windows, Evernote Help says; WINDOWS The new Evernote for Windows Right-click the note you'd like to delete. Select Move to Trash from the options list. Older version of Evernote for Windows Right-click the note you'd like to delete. Select Delete Note from the options list. I've done done the right click thing multiple times, but DELETE is never shown as an option, so that isn't an option Similarly, for Android (my cell phone and tablet), I'm told; The new Evernote for Android Open the note you'd like to delete. Tap the More actions button (three dots), then select Delete note. Older version of Evernote for Android Open the note you'd like to delete. Tap the options button (three dots), then select Delete note. Tapping the three dots does NOT yield DELETE as an option. What am I missing? In a couple of notes, I'd like to delete one photo, but I similarly can't find out how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.
