  1. The "free" option was essential for them to build a large user base. Notion and most SAS programs do the same thing to some degree. The problems they are having now have to do with their roll out of the new code base and the lack of communication.
  2. The real problem seems to be their stunning lack of communication and feedback. You can make changes but it would be nice if they would clearly communicate what they are doing.
  3. Article from Engadget: https://www.engadget.com/evernote-cross-platform-note-taking-app-redesign-interview-130026972.html
  4. I got a reply yesterday to one I opened over a week ago. They seem to be really backed up now.
  5. What happened to all of the export options in the new Windows version? No more HTML? Only ENEX? How are you supposed to get your data out of EN other than by using the legacy version? Are they trying to make EN a walled fortress?
  6. Keeping my options open at this point. Very disappointed at the lack of the communication and lack of response from Tech Support. Very frustrated at this point. Evernote can and must do better!
  7. I tried cleaning all cookies and clearing the cache and it did not work.
  8. Okay, I figured it out this morning. Evernote Web client updated to 10.0 but the Windows version was still on V6 and showed no update available. The old version does not sync to the new web client. I downloaded the Windows version of 10 and now things seem to be OK.
  9. Well, I am going on day four of this problem and have not received any reply from Evernote Tech Support.
  10. This would have been a good strategy for changing the EN code base:
  11. They definitely should have tested this more before rolling this out and killing productivity. Not a smart move when the competition is looming.
  12. It seems to work with Firefox. Definitely broken with some notes and when loading tag contents in Chrome. I also took the extra step of clearing all cookies. Not good at all!
  13. Tried exiting page, reloading, clearing cache, updating Chrome version. Using Evernote Web 10.1.0. Will try another browser.
  14. Some people are reporting big problems with V10:
  15. It really appears that Evernote's recent changes have been a big FAIL. In the past few weeks, I have not been able to log in to my Windows app consistently and today the new web version is freezing and I cannot access some of my notes. This is TOTALLY unacceptable. I have downloaded Notion and plan on testing it out. Anyone else looking seriously at other options?
  16. Still having the problem. Anyone there?
  17. This is been happening all day. I am also getting a page unresponsive message. Anyone else having problems? BTW, I opened a ticket this AM.
  18. Yeah, this situation is really unacceptable. It is not cool to lock out paying customers. Can this issue be escalated?
  19. As stated previously, I am not going to pay another subscription fee (for a VPN) just to access Evernote. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!
  20. I thought I fixed it, but the problem came back. According to Tech Support, the error message I am getting (HTTP request failed, code: 429, error: OK) means I am being locked out because of Evernote's security protocol that blocks certain ip ranges from accessing Evernote. That sounds pretty ludicrous. Can't they just use two factor authorization? The recommended fix is to access it via a VPN. I am NOT going to pay for VPN service just to access Evernote's Windows client! The only other option is to submit my ip and user agent data and see if that can be white listed. I submitted it and waiting to hear back. I am very disappointed in Evernote. I understand the need for security, but their brute force method of data security that locks out valid (and paying) users is unacceptable! UPDATE: I uninstalled and re-installed the Windows client and it is working again (for now).
  21. In other words, I logged out of Evernote web version, and then my email and PW worked in the Windows version. After that, I logged back into Evernote web.
  22. I am now able to get in now as well. I deleted the Google login credentials and re-entered my PW. Works fine. Seems to have to do with Google authorization.
  23. Having the same problem on 2 different computers with the Windows app. Cannot login on either one. Web app working fine: Getting "Cannot connect to server" error message.
  24. This is a feature that has been requested for years and is critical for professional writers. It really should not be that hard to implement.
