About Meraig

  1. Before the last "upgrade," I had a list of shortcuts at the top of the sidebar that I used very heavily. Now they are all gone. How do I get them back?
  2. With the latest version of Evernote, and of MaC OS, I no longer have the problem. And I haven't noticed it for some time; I don't remember when it started to work again, but it does now. I would recommend that you make sure that your EverNote is up to date. I am, however, having some difficulties with my EverNote Scanner...
  3. Okay, that works -- but it's not intuitive. How is one supposed to know that?
  4. EverNote dev team -- please put a standard Sync button UP FRONT in every product like the one in the desktop. I do Notes on my iPhone and on my iPad, and I want them to sync so that when I get back to my desktop system of record, the new content is there for me.
  5. I got the "we are unable to replicate this" line from Support. I sent them an example, but no joy on that. I gave up, not having the time to waste in trying to get somewhere down that road. My work-around: 1) Never delete the copied bullets from a note until you're sure they've been successfully pasted into another. 2) When you can't copy from outside of EN (eg gmail or a web page), try copying everything up to the last punctuation mark, as in. Copy all of the sentence until you get to the period, question mark or exclamation point -- don't include that final mark character in the highlighted text. That's worked for me some of the time. 3) When you're copying from EN to a web article you're writing, I've found that the "don't include the final character" trick -sometimes- helps. Not always. 3) always try to paste copied content at the end of a bulleted list.
  6. Does anyone know of a utility that can export all notes from all notebooks in Evernote? Turning them into at least PDF's if not text files? I've been using Evernote for a couple of years now, have been pretty happy with it, but I'd like to make sure that my notes will continue to be available to me. I'm Mac-based.
  7. This has been going on for a couple of months now. The Mac versions of Evernote are certainly affected, don't know about other platforms.
  8. On my Mac desktop computer, with the latest version of both MacOS (Sierra) and Evernote, when I copy and Paste or Cut and Paste, the Paste doesn't deliver the full content that I Copied. When I'm doing a Copy and Paste, this is an annoyance. When I'm doing a Cut and Paste, as between notes or with a large amount of text, it's a disaster. The problem doesn't happen in every instance, but it's pretty consistent. I've noticed it the most when there are bullets involved, and when you make some changes to the destination area before doing the Paste. Example Bullet one Bullet Two -Copy the above from one area of your note --go to another area of your note, add an empty bullet or a line --Then do the Paste. Nothing gets pasted. If you Cut the text you wanted to move, it's gone. If you Copied the content, the original is still there. If you Copy it again and return to the target point without making any other changes, the Paste will now work. Insufficient clipboard area? Some other glitch? It just appeared with the latest upgrades to MacOS and Evernote. I use this function a lot, so it's a real problem. The workaround I've been using is never to Cut, only to Copy and then go back and delete the original content when I'm sure the Copy/Paste has worked.
