  1. Yes, I am having this problem. Running Version 6.10 (454267 Direct) on a MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015) with El Capitan 10.11.6. Pretty irritating, I'm trying to type in a large quantity of handwritten notes with lots of line breaks.
  2. I updated to 6.7.1 today and this problem appears to have been resolved. Many thanks to the team at Evernote for addressing it. As a minor aside: I agree with these guys when they say that it would be best to have details about each release in the forums, including detailed, informative release notes.
  3. Hi @BSR, Sorry, just saw this request. The ticket number is: 1607044. I sent along some logs and was told it's a known issue and they have no current workaround and are looking into it.
  4. Hi @BSR -- just saw this request today. I created the ticket. Thanks for following up.
  5. Hi @BSR -- Any update on a possible cause/fix for this? Just curious.
  6. Hi @BSR, Thanks for your suggestion. I followed the steps you recommended, but the problem remains. The information about EN/OS X versions, as well as information about my machines (it's happening on both) is in my original post.
  7. Recently the Evernote Helper window has opened just about one character too narrow to fit the text typed into it. No horizontal scroll bar appears, but sliding my finger side to side on the trackpad (or mouse) bounces the text side to side, and a little sliver of text goes missing off one side or the other of the window while typing. See attached image for what I'm talking about. This isn't a big deal in terms of functionality, but it is surprisingly annoying (here I am, after all). I don't see any way to change the width of the window, the size of the typeface, or anything else that would prevent this. And I can't find any previous mention of this phenomenon in any of the forums. I'm also not sure exactly when it started, but I think it was recently (maybe with 6.6?). It definitely has not always happened, on either of my machines. I'm running 6.6.1 (453372 Direct) on both my MacBook (Retina, 12", Early 2015) and my iMac (21.5", Late 2013), both of which are running OS X 10.11.4.
  8. I have tried the 6.0.7 update, and I'm now running 6.0.7 (451372 Direct). Still a premium user, still on an iMac (20-inch, mid-2009), 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, on Yosemite (10.10.2), still having the slowdown (for me it is most noticeable when I am trying to navigate around text using the arrow keys, which I do frequently). It's my impression that the problem goes away when I set sync to manual. As you can imagine, that is a less-than-ideal solution. One of the beautiful things about Evernote is that I'm never afraid of losing my stuff or of not having something on, say, my phone that I typed at my desk. If I have to sync manually, that feature has vanished. I like Evernote; I know you're working to fix the problem; please keep after it, since it's not fixed yet.
  9. Follow-up to two earlier posts: I've updated recently to 6.0.7 Beta 1 (451348 Direct) and I'm still experiencing the slowdowns. I'm set to sync every hour; the slowdowns persist even after a manual sync, but they go away (for a while) if I restart EN. I'm running it on an iMac (20-inch, mid-2009), 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, on Yosemite (10.10.2). I have no performance problems with the other software I use (mostly browsers and MS Office apps, some Adobe stuff now and then). Not a dealbreaker for me, exactly, but certainly a bummer.
  10. I'm now running 6.0.6 Beta 2, 451254 Direct, and I'm getting the same slowdown typing on both short and long (text-only) notes. See earlier posting for machine specs.
  11. +1 I'm experiencing this problem as well, using app store version 6.0.5 (451190), running 10.10.1 on a 20-inch iMac, Mid 2009, 2.26 GHz Intel Core Duo 2, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Not the highest-end machine out there, but this problem is new and unique to Evernote. Thanks for working on it, hope to get a fix soon.
