Is there any update here? I have an M1 Mac and it was working fine until an update about a week ago.

The Above "fix" from Shane worked for me. Still slower to bring up a new note window than I'd like (in iOS too) but It's otherwise working well after a week of use.

Lenny3200, Thank you for the quick and detailed reply. Ran the script and it installed fine and immediately seems faster. We'll see how it does with a little time and stress. Thank you!

Shane, I'm having a similar but different issue or manifestation. When I open Evernote:

The main window (Notebooks) opens and is completely blank after briefly seeing the green progress wheel and will not draw. Notes open during the last shutdown open just fine. I can shutdown the blank Notebooks window but there does not seem to be an ability in the Menu to open another. I've shutdown every process that is obviously Evernote (it seems to do it just fine (automatically) on application shutdown.

After starting and shutting Evernote down multiple times it will eventually open and run ok.

Help. When I need to take a note it has to work..and quicly.

I installed - v 10.4.4 build 458403 public Editor: v112.1.14477 Service: v1.23.6 on my Mac and now have Evernote Helper (Render) popping to the top of the Activity monitor often with 100%+ CPU usage. This is new and effecting performance. Can this be improved?
