  1. @PinkElephantwould you mind disclosing the nature of your relationship with Evernote?
  2. @PinkElephant Would you please clarify which is the nature of your relation with Evernote?
  3. No, it did not cross my mind since iOS Spotlight beautifully searches Google Keep notes. As to Evernote losing its way, I’d take back my comment if the company demonstrates that NPS (or equivalent) and market share are increasing. As a customer I feel less and less comfortable in keeping my 2K+ notes with a company that I don’t believe is going to be around in a couple of years.
  4. Phil, correct, unfortunately Evernote’s product management lost its way completely. Very sad since I was an avid user and now more and more rely on Apple notes.
  5. Dear Evernote team, please understand something really really important: #1 Given: one of your product goals is for people to keep as much content as possibly within Evernote Then: search MUST be a core (not secondary) feature-set which should occupy the top your stack rank priorities #2 Given: OSs (spotlight search on MacOS and iOS, for example) are becoming not good, but great for users to search for app contents Then: OS search should be a top use case for your search backlog. For what it's worth, this comes from someone with 10+ years PM experience, with int'l tech companies at 1st place in their categories; who once loved Evernote unconditionally and whose love fades away every day, going on new dates with new potencial partners. Cheers.
  6. Guys, please get the damn basics right - I don't want a new home, auto scannimg or any other fancy stuff if you're unable to do the basics. Besides my MacOS Evernote app always showing blanck notes after the app is open for several days, now the iOS app won't synch. Details: Notes creates on the iPhone won't sync (see screenshot) Evernote status page: no issues. Background app refress: enabled. (see screenshot) Manual synch: spins forever, no confirmation of finish. (see screenshot) Phone has been restarted. I will not reinstall the Evernote app - there's a bunch of unsynched notes and I do not have trust in your product's capacity to not lose them.
  7. Guys, from the bottom of my heart, please read this and circulate it across all levels: I've been with you guys since 2001. A real fan. Now I am doing an effort to continue with Evernote. You were great and navigated in a blue ocean, which was both a blessing and a curse. The lack (until recently) of competition made you inward-centric, leading to the product losing its edge. For the outside, an Evernote with hunger to create fanatical customers became an old memory. I see synching errors, poor capturing (share sheets), new app versions losing established features - the basic stuff derailing. But the good news is: the game is NOT over. You have US - millions of active users, folks like me who want to see you succeed and who want to see this team bring back the best note taking app. And our ask to the whole team is: Make it # 1 priority (KPI, OKR, whatever) to enchant the customer. Full stop. Promote employees who embody this spirit. Weed out the ones who are on the opposite side of the spectrum. Get the basics right - flawless capturing and synching + decent UX for these basics. Once that's done, resume the product evolution never losing sight of priority # 1. It's not over. There's one chance left and our best wishes are sincerely with you guys. Cheers
  8. Currently I prefer One Note because I can draw directly on the note, while in Evernote I need to insert a Sketch. Besides taking more work, the sketch limits the canvas size. On One Note the canvas is flexible.
