  1. That does not help me when I am trying to do an update from the program. I should not have to do a search for posts, it should be simple for users to decide which update they want to do.
  2. I was able to reinstall 6.12 on my desktop and it now works fine. Strangely, the laptop, still with 6.13.3 is now also working fine! This is what I really would like to see from Evernote: Update message links about new updates should give the OPTION to INSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS. I had 6.10 and I kept skipping new updates because of a major problem I had with my previous update (it was a disaster well reported in many forums here). So, when 6.13 was around I thought things would be more stable. Granted, any last update is subject to bugs. If I had the option to update to a teste

    Hi DT

where are the database and other components located on the computer?

    thanks

    Fernando

I use the app AppCleaner to completely remove an app and components.  It finds the locations

My database is located in folder /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/com.evernote.Evernote/accounts/www.evernote.com

  4. I did remove Evernote first. I am not sure what you mean by database and other components. I moved the program in the trash, erased it and reinstalled it. I am looking for an older version to reinstall, not 13.3, but 13.1 or 12 and see if it can work. thanks, Fernando
  5. Member + 1 26 posts Report post Posted 38 minutes ago Hi, this is URGENT, please. After updating to Version 6.13.3 (455969 Direct), Editor: 1.30.3433 (fec246b) on both my desktop and laptop, I cannot ANYTHING on my existing notes, in ANY of the computers, only on new ones!!! IT only works if I go online, which is not very practical for me. I keep getting the message “Note content is invalid” with anything I write or modify (including formatting).
  6. Hi DT, thanks for the reply. I have already reinstalled the program twice on my laptop and desktop, and I keep getting the same problem. I also tried installing an older version, but I got messages saying my current data was not compatible with the old version. Evernote does NOT make it simple to find older versions, and I found one that was too old (6.11) If you know where I can find 13.1 or something around that, it might be enough. thanks, Fernando

I have not done updates in a long time, because of major problems with one of the (now old) updates, and now this. Help? thanks, Fernan

I have a similar issue to everyone else with the formatting of code and syntax in my notes. Any new code copy and pasted into notes do not have the same formatting, However what is worse is that existing notes lost their formatting.

@Johnathan Hebertwill the syntax issue be fixed in the next release? This doesn't just affect new notes but also existing ones that I did not modify since the update.

I'm interested to get more details on this one. Can you please post a before and after screenshot, or provide a detailed description of which styles are lost, and which styles are kept? Note formatting should not be altered for existing notes.

Just a reminder that the problem with tables also apply to ALL EXISTING tables and new ones. Any hints on whether I will be able to recover my lost data? thanks!

Great thank you. I am looking at it now.

I was able to confirm that this is indeed fixed in internal builds. I confirmed by loading the recovered note ENEX into the 6.11 GA build, and I see the tables are mangled and compressed to the left side. I then loaded it into the latest internal builds of the editor and see that it renders correctly.

It will be fixed in the upcoming 6.11.1 release on Mac.

These tables don't seem to be created from within Evernote. Did you paste them into the note from another application?

I pasted them the college site where I teach. It makes my life much easier to have all info in one place without logging in and out to access class info.

By the way, thanks for giving me access to the Note History. I was able to pull all information that was lost.

  9. Hi prjna, just ignore DTLow, he has nothing good to do, but to pick on other users's comments, play bully, and make childish comments.
  10. Well, I would love to go back to 6.10 and recover my data that I lost, but it is too late.
  11. Hi DTLow, the reason for anybody to do a software upgrade is that we expect improvements. Some features were announced with the upgrade, but if you are knowingly removing features, it should be also posted so everyone can informedly make a decision whether to upgrade or not.
  12. Sorry, not true what I said about my home computer. Much of the data is also messed up. But it is inconsistent. Some looks right, some not.
  13. Good question. Mostly the same, but strangely, it is inconsistent. The weirdest thing is, in the ONLY note that all data looks normal in the website, ALL data disappeared in the laptop (tables and regular text)! Now, in my home computer, I did not upgrade to 6.11, I still have 6.1, and all data looks fine! Unfortunately most of the time, and especially at work, I use the laptop.

  15. Sorry to hear you have experienced the same problem, but it is good to hear that if confirms that the problem was indeed caused by the update.
