  1. Mooch- What I do, is place the Evernote icon onto the dock & leave it there. Then when I to use the desktop clipper, I sign into Evernote from the dock. Once signed in I see the elephant icon on the very top on the screen (on the same line with the safari, edit..date Click on the icon, you will see full screen icon, window or rectangle icon or the microphone (check out the cog wheel, too). Even when I am not signed in, I see the elephant icon web clipper to the left of the url. When I click this, I will be prompted to sign in. I will then see the full menu. I am using Evernote 6.10 Make sure that you follow the above directions by mstucci July 2015 re: Safari Extensions! Evernote has a little different look on different browsers such as Safari, Google and Firefox. Good luck!
  2. Your welcome! My Evernote clipper would not work for 2 months, so when I found out how to correct the problem, I shared the wealth!
  3. For those who are having trouble with Safari Evernote Web Clipper! I, too, had a problem with the new Safari web clipper not working but it is resolved. My Macbook pro Mac isrunning Yosemite 10.10.4 and Safari 8.0.7. Evernote Web Clipper says it's 6.5 . This is how you resolve the issue. First,Restart your computergo to Safari browser at the top of your computer screen, top leftat the top left of screen, click on the word Safariyou will see a dropdown menu, then click on Preferencesyou will see a box with a choice of areas in the computer, for General, Tabs, Autofill, Passwords, Search,Security, Privacy,Notifications, Extensions,..click on Extensionsyou will see another box with your Extensions listed, there is also and on and off switch My computer showed the switch on, on the left side of screen showed my One Extension Evernote Web Clipper. On the right of the screen it said Evernote Web Clipper 6.5.1, the box was checked for Enable Evernote Web clipper.Click on Uninstall button for Evernote web clipper 6.5.1 and any other Extensions listed (you can reinstall those extensions once the clipper is download and working. Restart your computer. Now Reinstall Evernote Safari Web Clipper and Restart your computer. The Safari Evernote Web clipper should be working now, check again in Safari Preferences and you should see it Reinstalled. My problem was that my husband uses the same laptop, has in own log-in, ... He was the one with Extensions, so I had to follow the above steps to prevent the Extensions from blocking me. Now that all is working it is ok to reinstall your Extensions. Good luck.

  5. The Safari web clipper is now working on my computer! My problem was that it looked like I updated the Safari web clipper, but it would Not work! When I discussed this with Evernote, they suggested that my problem was with extensions. Read my email to Evernote support person, if you are having problems. Dominic, thank you, I have resolved the issue! I was able to call Apple and they told me that I did not have any Extensions in Safari, except Evernote Web clipper. I am giving you the instructions on how a Mac user is to find their Extensions. This is something everyone should know when telling a Mac user to remove their extensions. First: go to Safari browser ( Safari was up to date) Also I was up to date on my Macbook pro, using Yosemite)at the top left of screen, click on the word Safariyou will see a dropdown menu, then click on Preferencesyou will see a box with a choice of areas in the computer, for ex. General, Tabs, Autofill, Passwords, Search…Extensionsclick on Extensionsyou will see another box with your Extensions listed, there is also and on and off switchMy computer showed the switch on, on the left side of screen showed my One Extension Evernote Web ClipperOn the right of the screen it said Evernote Web Clipper 6.5.1, the box was checked for Enable Evernote Web clipper. Well for weeks, I have been Uninstalling & reinstalling for to no avail. All because I needed of an understanding of Extensions. Today, I thought about how my husband has his own half of our computer, he has his own login, his own browsers, receives his own mail, his own bookmarks, … Well, I thought about that and decided to check out It turned out. He had two Extensions, under Safari Preferences, Extensions. I removed them his restarted his half of the computer, logged out. I then restarted my side of the computer, removed Safari Evernote Web Clipper, restarted the computer, and then re-installed the Safari WC, then restarted the computer, and now it WORKS. Thanks. Please do me a Favor and give these instructions to your Supervisor so that you can help Mac Users! Tell him Mac users are being given the short end of the stick, when no one knows how to explain more to us regarding Extensions. Tell the Supervisor, that if you have a product, that Mac users are paying for, then Technicians need to be more educated on the dynamics of the workings of a MacBook. My computer is not old ( 3 years) and it is about time Evernote came to terms that Mac users are part of the technology world, too! Thanks Dominic for being persistent, with your instructions! Luckily I still had some time left on my Subscription with Applecare, otherwise it would have been more difficult to find out this answer. I appreciate your efforts! Karen PS I have had a problem with the Safari Web clipper, since I updated to Yosemite and that was 2 months ago,no one could help me then, no one knew what to do and I am a Premium user. Good luck everyone.
  6. I have been seeing this same Error message since updating my Macbook Pro to Yosemite. I also have done all of the above and still new Safari web clipper Does Not work. I am very frustrated, neither the last Safari web clipper and new Safari web clipper have worked for several months.
  7. PRODUCTIVITYSEEKER: Are you using Yosemite and latest version of version of Safari? I have been having this problem since I updated to Yosemite. I thought this new Webclipper app would correct this problem, but it has not! Be sure to request assistance by going to support and filling out a ticket. I have done and awaiting a response. Very frustrating since I am paying for Evernote and has not worked on safari for a couple of months. Good luck, if I learn anything I will let you know.

  12. I updated Evernote to 6.0.13, this is the 3rd update in a couple of weeks and since my recent updates my Safari web clipper stopped working. My we clipper on Chrome still works. My Macbook pro is 10.10.3 Yosemite and Safari is 8.0.6. I try to clip a full page or simplified page, I use the menu, clip on either full page or simplified page, Evernote shows me that it clipped and sync the page, and gives me the message "Cannot save clip." This started happening the last 3 updates. I need assistance. Karen
