About iOS & Mac User

  1. Bulleted and numbered list auto-formatting is standard in most word processors. This is how MS Word, Google Docs and Apple Pages work so this isn't a half-baked mark down feature but base line functionality that most people expect. The word processors also make this an option so it makes sense that we do the same. I'll keep everyone posted on our investigation. You got it right with "auto-formatting is standard in most word processors" _and_ "The word processors also make this an option." Desperately waiting for EN to have this as an option. Also, still want the notebook selected to be indicated in the sidebar. A few versions back, someone from the EN team indicated that EN was supposed to be following the display model of Apple's Mail app, but Mail has properly highlighted the correct inbox/outbox since the beginning.
  2. Two things. 1) Please make the search behavior like it is on the iOS version. When I search for a note on the Mac, as soon as I edit the note to remove the criteria for which the note was selected, the note vanishes from the search results and I am thrown out of the edit mode. This not-so-helpful search behavior has existed for a few versions. 2) When I paste a section of text into the middle of a sentence, the curser jumps to the end of the paragraph after the paste. Please leave the curser after the paste location. This behavior is new in 6.0.16.

  4. Not sure about the "sync improvements." I had no problems syncing with 6.0.2, but with 6.0.3 I had one note to sync and that went fine then EN spent 4 minutes syncing something that as far as I know didn't need to be synced.
  5. I had been running the App Store version of 6.0 and got frustrated with missing note content and clobbered titles and having to restart my Mac to continue using EN. I read on the forum for version 6.0 and 6.0.1 that getting the direct-download version of 6.0.1 would solve the problem, Did the direct-download and got 6.0.2. Had to redownload my 5566 notes from the server --- not happy. The note content sometimes still doesn't show and the titles still get clobbered. Thanks though for fixing the white, almost-white, and not-quite-so-white layout of the original 6.0. It's reasonable now with Mavericks. One request. I use the Top List View, and with the Notebooks shown in the left column with the individual notebooks also shown, when I click on one of those notebooks, the Notes item in the sidebar still stays highlighted, not the particular notebook that I just clicked on.
  6. Ah, yes, ok, so when you click on "notebooks" there is, at the top, a list of recently accessed notebooks, and below that, a list of all notebooks. You'd like to remove the "recent notebooks" section? As far as I know, this is not possible. Please make it possible. And, please put the number of notes in a notebook back on the right side of the list so: 1) more notebooks can be shown on the screen, and 2) it's easier to scan the actual name of the notebooks without having to mentally skip over the number of notes.
