About April1974

  1. Ah, okay thanks - this is disappointing. I hope this feature will be added soon. I also noticed there is a similar problem when I add images at the end of a long note - back to the top of the page rather than taking me to the image I just added. It is really annoying, too. I hope this will be also addressed.
  2. Whenver I return to my Evernote after looking at another Evernote page, I always seem to return to the top of the page rather than the part of thep age I was working on. This is extremely annoying, as I like to reference to different notes as I work on one note. Is there an option to change this? I'm using Desktop client on Windows 7.
  3. F2 finally worked for me once I RESTARTED Evernote. I had another related thread and somebody suggested this very simple solution. I hope this trick works for you too!
  4. Ha! Scihilling! It WORKS!!! I closed it and restarted it and now it works!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) I'm so happy!!!!!
  5. Dear Jefito, I have no problem using F2 in "notebook list" to rename a notebook - or for the purpose of remaming files in Windows Explorer. But I can't use F2 to rename notes in "note list" and neither in the subject/note title of a note itself. I don't recall changing settings to override shortcut for Evernote. But let's say I did it - how can I check & change what I did? I swear F2 doesn't work for me. I can't believe it's just me having this problem. ....
  6. I see everyone mentioning F2 but I swear it does not work for me. I use Windows 7, and the latest Firefox and Evernote and Webclipper.
  7. Also, I really would appreciate it if Evernote Clipper would bring itself up when I clip a page - meaning, not leaving me in Firefox but take me to the newly created note. At the moment, I have to either click on the new separate Evernote Window or use Alt-Tab to cycle through to the Evenote Window because after clipping, I'm left at Firefox! Is there a "feature request" forum anywhere? I have carpal and all the keyboard shortcuts are so important for me!
  8. When I use web clipper, it usually takes me to a separate window from the desktop client. I usually want to edit the content a little before saving it. However, this separate window does not seem to allow me to use keyboard shortcuts to easily move between note title and body text. The cursor in the window is usually placed into body text. I can only edit the title when I use a mouse. I want to be able to use shortcuts. But there do not seem any. Some suggested I use F2, but it does not do anything in my client. After some searching in this forum, I learned that combination of Tab and Esc in the regular desktop client mode (with three panes) resolve this issue. However, when I use web clipper, I usually get this separate window where those keys do not work. Now I am wondering if there is any way at all to immediately have the regular view of desktop client open (with three panes - notebook, note list and note -) where I can use Tab & Esc combination, when using WebClipper, rather than having it take me to this separate window? I looked into Options for Webclipper in Firefox but there was not any options like that. I wish Evernote will either 1. create shortcuts for separate windows to get into note title and 2. give options to get directly to the full desktop client instead of a separate window. Or if there is a workaround, I really would like to find out.
  9. I've found only Tab and Esc combinations can help me get in and out of note title and into body text - if I am in the regular view mode (with notebook list, note list, and note). If I'm in a separate, independent note view, they don't work. F2 does nothing for me. I don't know why. Why is everyone talking about F2? I swear it does not work for me. Can someone tell me why? ⌘ + L I think is a Mac command - isn't it? I don't see a key ⌘ on my keyboard for Windows computer. I tried Win + L but that only logged me off from the Windows session. I really want to find out shortcuts for these - I even contacted Evernote chat session which weren't very helpful. The representative did not even know about Tab and Esc in the regular view mode. If anyone knows anything about this, please share. Thanks.
  10. I was searching this forum for an answer to the same question - thank you all for informed discussion. From this, now I understand that: Hitting Tab in Note List View with a focus on one note will let you cycle through 1. note list 2. search pane, and 3. note title. Once in a note title, hit Esc to enter body text. Hitting Esc again in the body text will let your focus go back to the note in note list. So basically use Tab and Esc. BUT ... now I have another, related question. When I clip a webpage using WebClipper and add it to desktop client, the client usually shows a new independent note in a new window, with a cursor in the body text. I often want to edit note title. However, this time, when I click on Esc and Tab neither of them work. Tab only pushes away texts in the body, and worse, Esc will close the window. I tried F2 but it does nothing for me - in this independent window and also in the regular view of the desktop client. Does anyone know a way to move the cursor in this independent window out of the body text area into note title area, without using a mouse?
  11. I also would like to be able to collapse columns. Even with a large screen, when I'm working on something like transcribing from a video I would like to be able to make the Evernote smaller. I know I can make the note to pop-up but it's easier if I can just collapse the columns whenever I want to.
