  4. Hi has anyone seen or used Matt Martin's - AfterTheBook - Master David Allen's GTD with Evernote Matt Martin has a wonderful youtube series how to use Evernote with GTD - in fact of all the videos i've watched - i find his the most helpful his web site offers his book http://www.afterthebook.com/master-david-allens-gtd-with-evernote/ at $19.96, it seems a little steep - especially because i am a full time student and both of my daughters are college freshwomen. In contrast - David Allen's book sells on amazon for $8,88 Daniel Gold's highly regarded eBook is $5 David Allen's guide to setting up GTD is $10 Has anyone had an opportunity to see it - work with it? do you feel that it is a substantial add-on to his fantastic videos? i am very grateful for Matt's videos - and would of course like to repay his kindness but...i'm careful. thank all of you for your help. enjoy your weekend -Ethan
  5. Hi i am setting up GTD in EN. As a newbbe - i am trying to figure out the best way to track deliverables i'm a graduate student so i have a number of long-term papers that i am working on some, i start immediately, others i have enough runway to wait a few weeks before i actually begin the work. i want to have a calendar that tracks the due date (untimed - so that it just appears on a specific date) i also want to enter milestone start and end dates to keep me on track - this will enable me to better project manage these "projects". i use Google calender i have heard that sunrise calender works with Google and EN i'm having trouble locating instructions and examples do you have any suggestions? also - are there other solutions that are a better fit? thanks to everyone in the community for your help -Ethan
  6. Everyone thanks for your help i feel comfortable enough to roll up my sleeves and get started many thanks -Ethan
  7. Hi Jefito and csihilling thank you for your help - i was wondering - what is the best way to organize my tags so that the appropriate tags are visible depending on what i am working on. meaning - if i am working on my thesis - i want to see the set of tags associated with my thesis and when i am working on GTD - then i see the GTD tags thanks -Ethan
  8. Hi i am new to EN i am using EN for capturing and storing all my research data for my master's thesis. i expect that there will be hundreds of notes and a large number of tags - maybe 50 to 100 i would also like to set up GTD in EN i'm worried that if i set up GTD in the same instance of EN that i use for my research project, the space could be become cluttered and unwieldy. what is the best way for me to manage this? if i keep everything in one instance - how should i set it up? if you suggest two instances, how do i create the second instance? thank you so much for your help -Ethan
  9. Hi i am new to EN i'm sure there is already an answer to my question, but i couldn't figure out what to ask the search engine my online account is using the new beta interface i can't figure it out - don't like it and would like to go back to the familiar EN interface how do i change the interface back? many thanks -Ethan
  10. Thank you i was wondering if you have seen EasyBib Notebook it has a cool interface it lets you organize your notes as if you are using notecards and can view them accordingly very cool will Evernote allow me to do the same? i haven't found a single review of it just wondering thank you -Ethan
