Thanks for your reply @DTLow I gave it a second chance. It seems like legacy is unable to set proper Firewall rules. Turned the standard Windows Firewall off and I am able to login now.

Legacy version is as good as nothing, because it cannot connect to the login servers. I can't wait for this Evernote nightmare to be over, I just want to take my notes and move on from this misguided ransomware (ransom are my notes). Dear Evernote, you never deserved to by trusted with peoples' thoughts.
