    We are aware of this issue, and are working to address it.
    As a temporary workaround, restarting your app should resolve the issue.

    Can you elaborate on the specific notes that cannot be opened?
    Are they specific types of notes? As in, do they contain attachments, tables, etc?
    How many notes do you have in your account and did you just recently update to the new version?
    The reason I ask is that the initial first sync may take some time for it to complete.
    Let me know as this will better enable me to further investigate.

    @speake @Mee Do you know about how many notes you have in your account?
    The reason I ask is that the initial first sync on the new clients may take awhile if you have a lot of notes.
    When you go to the Web Client, do you see the notes that are missing there?
    Were either of you accessing your account via "Sign-In with Apple"? ( @speake You mentioned using an Android so I assume not)
    Let me know as this will better enable me to investigate into the issue.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback on this change. Please continue to share your thoughts/feedback here.
    One thing I wanted to clarify is that you can still use 2 devices as a Basic subscription user, even if neither of those devices are web.
    The change is that the Web Client is now counted as one of the devices.

    For what it's worth, we have often found that these notes do become deletable after a few days.
    While this is obviously not a viable solution, I wanted to let you know in case you want to try deleting them again in the future.
    In the meantime, we're working to address it, and I'll provide an update once I know more.

    Hi All,
    If you're encountering this issue, please try the following.
    Go to https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314 and download the legacy Evernote for Windows app
    After install, open the app and sign in. At this time, you should be able to see your notes and sync. If you can't sign in, see the steps below:
    Select File > Sign out to view the Evernote login screen Select: Ctrl+Shift+E while viewing the login screen. to see a list that shows your email and username Select smarquet8 This will create a new folder on your Desktop that contains a separate .enex file for each notebook within that account. After logging into Evernote you have two options to import the notes:
    Double click the .enex to open it in Evernote. This will automatically import those notes into your account's default notebook. Select: File > Import > Evernote Export Files, and select the .enex file. Each .enex will import as a separate notebook.
