I'd be curious to hear if anyone has done some in-depth research into other applications, and their pricing plans, that offer many of the same features of Evernote. Maybe with improved technical support.

Thank you for your thoughts. Is Evernotes yearly price going up? I paid on January 3, 2023 $69.99.

• I don't think so. Bending Spoons is actually in the process of greatly ramping up profits by trimming Evernote staff and raising prices. Perhaps there is less focus on support than there once was because of trimmed down staff.

I don't think there are any Evernote podcasts anymore.

• Looks like it has been 5 years since they did podcasts. IMO, those probably had questionable return on investment.

They also don't acknowledge suggestions for improvements and the improvements they are adding don't really do much for the user and the users don't really care about them.

• Depends on if Evernote works for you well enough now and is worth the increase in price. If it does and is, I think you are in just as good hands as before. If not, I'd say find something else.

Will they every bring it back? There time in responding to email tickets and resolving issues if not very good.

Why is the chat function always offline? What is the reason for having chat if it is never working? When you pay so much for the program, it would be nice to get some reliable technical help in a timely manner.

I agree!!! No support from Evernote other than this forum, but they sure want you to upgrade so they can get more money.

How can you contact anyone at Evernote???? Their help links don't even work on their website.

I received an email from Evernote for 50% off. My subscription is scheduled to be renewed on January 3, 2022. I'd like to know if I am eligible for the discount.

Very disappointed at not being able to email, chat or talk to a technical support person at Evernote. When they took chat down for premium members, they say it would be up again shortly. That was over a year ago.

I'm seriously considering moving all my notes to another platform and cancelling my subscription because of lack of support and the high cost of the subscription.

Not on an IOS devise like an iPad or iPhone. 

Bring back the alphabet bar!!!

I completely agree!!!!!!

It is the "Shortcuts" area.

If a Notebook stack in put in the easy access bar, you can't open up the stack on both the iPhone and iPad.

I can't speek on behalf of Android users, but it is happening on the Macintosh desktop machines and Mac IOS devises.

Since the very early days of Evernote, there was always an alphabet bar on the right side when sorting by title. Then a couple of years ago they took it away with one of their updates. I worked with others to encourage them to bring it back, so because of pressure from users they finally brought it back. It took over 8 months for that to happen. Now they have taken it away again. Without the alphabet bar in a notebook it takes longer to find the particular note you are looking for. Even if you try to do a search, the search results are not in alphabetical order and should have an alphabet bar also.

You did it again. You took away the alphabet bar in the file name area. Now it takes a lot more time to find a specific note. Even when I do I search, the results are not in alphabetical order. What gives! Makes using Evernote very hard! It took over 8 months to get it back the last time!!!

I would like them to bring back the alphabet on the side of the notebook. Takes longer to find notes.
