I'm awaiting a fix on this as well. 
Why does the shortcut action have the ability to access available notebooks in Evernote, but not set the notebook upon creation of the note? 

I revisited Shortcuts->Evernote since Apple release it's native Journal app. I was hoping to include in my Evernote journal entries various meta-information Shortcuts can access from iOS.

I'm having the same issue on the Mac. It's running extremely slow, and i find myself having to click a note more than once to go to it. When i got to create a new note I now have to wait for two loading screens. It takes about 5-7 seconds to create a new note. Move notes to the trash takes about the same time. 
This is killing my workflow!

I used that feature as a selling point when I would convince my friends to try Evernote. Why such a great and unique feature be removed?!
