About TDeep

  1. I spoke too soon. The small characters / Paste issue has been resolved for me, but the accidental zoom is still happening at least 25% of the time. This makes me a bit hesitant every time I go to write because the accidental zoom is jarring and results in extra scribbles when I start writing or as a result of where my wrist was resting. Evernote, please just let us turn off automatic zoom. I'll look around for the appropriate way to file this as a feature request.
  2. There was a new update today. So far, the two issues that I was having (accidental zoom, and disappearing letters/"Paste") are both resolved. *fingers crossed iPad Air, iOS 7.0.3
  3. I haven't done this, but it sounds like others may have. I'd be concerned about losing data due to any subtle behind-the-scenes data format changes. If you do this, please make sure you back up your notebooks just in case.
  4. I'm all for thoughtful dissent and constructive discussion. I love it when people on the Internet provide that. For me, the issue of whether or not the current zoom mode is good is irrelevant because: a) Zoom mode is accidentally entered way too often. The non-zoom mode is broken... it appears that certain small characters (9 and + do it for me) trigger the "Paste" button to pop up. Those two things make Penultimate almost unusable (for me). I am confident that they will fix this, however; it's too broken not to.
  5. I'm seeing this as well. (iPad 4, iOS 7.0.3, Wacom Bamboo)
  6. Agreed. Penultimate used to work great for me as a pen and paper replacement because I could just sit down with it and start writing. I had confidence that things would just work so I could get to work. Now, with good reason, it is becoming unusable for some people because the zoom feature is accidentally triggered on a regular basis (and for some, the "Paste" button keeps appearing when writing certain characters, such as a 9 or a curvy +). I've loved Penultimate since the early days. I hope that this is resolved quickly.
  7. This is a new issue that started with the 5.0 update. There are numerous 1-star reviews on the App Store as a result (none by me... yet). I've been using Penultimate since the early days, and I've never seen them do something that so completely breaks user input. I'm seeing this on an iPad 4 (Wi-Fi 32 GB) running iOS 7.0.3 and using a Wacom Bamboo for input.
