    Tag the note you can’t edit then you can edit it. Workaround until Evernote fix it But seems simplest fix ( rather than copy and paste to new note )

    Same problem. Upgraded to iOS 10.1 and all notes on iPhone stuck in view only mode I use my phone a lot to add to an existing note when mobile. This is a serious flaw in upgrade please fix ASAP I am trying to stay loyal to Evernote but every upgrade seems to cause a problem Adding a tag To the view only note (Created a new tag called Fix ) allows note to be edited - so a work around For now ( thx to stocky2605 for sharing)
