CREATE JPG vs PNG ?
ab1kenobee replied to ab1kenobee's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 6.25.1 and under)
Hello, Members: The original purpose of posting this thread was to determine if an Android cell phone photo setting could be changed from PNG to JPG (which is about 20% or less the file size of PNG). Example: The full-size PNG has a file size of 402KB, but the full-sized, compressed JPEG is only 35.7KB. THX. ~ Alan -

CREATE JPG vs PNG ?

Thank you, ALL. EN previously provided the functionality and option to choose between JPG and PNG. This demonstrates the primitive formatting capabilities of EN still in 2019... which Power Users have brought to EN's attention for years now. Much appreciate the effort and feedback. ~ Alan -

Yes, I am aware I can take the time to convert images in a 3rd party image conversion software, either HDR or online. I would prefer to simply "Save As" a JPG (much smaller file size than PNG)... and definitely not have to convert myriads of images. Thank you. ~ Alan -
Hello, @CristiPro. Thank you for the FIX. Have a Samsung S8... did not realize I had enabled DARK MODE... G-searched and found HowToGeek article "How to Enable a Night Mode in Android to Reduce Eyestrain" to accelerate my learning curve... disabled NITE MODE... opened EN... and voilà!!!... white background was back in business!!! A superdeeduper thank you! I hope this proves helpful to others in pain! LOL! ~ Alan

Geralto: Thank you and I apologize for this much delayed response. QUESTIONS 1. Is not v6.11 much outdated? 2. How to keep portablized EN updated? 3. If standard EN updates run under Sandboxie... would this not also accomplish accomplish also keeping WIN 10 OS registry-FREE and clean? Thank you in advance for a prompt and detailed response to all the above, ~ Alan

P.S. Here is an article I just found that most coincidently shares my personal point of view... useful for business people who are not willing to constantly compromise and subvert their own business needs and requirements for EN's lackluster feature updates and tech support: (There are many long-term EN Power Users who have relunctantly left EN for many of the same reasons that are published in this forum.) I’M GIVING UP ON EVERNOTE AND SWITCHING TO ONENOTE | by Emory Wells | "While I don't mind paying for upgrades and new features, I don't like feeling like I got tied into something only to have the rug pulled out from under me a few years later. If I felt like Evernote was continually improving and getting better, I might feel differently than I do." (NOTE: Reader comments below the article are also important and useful.) After reading the above article, I am going to revisit OneNote again with an open mind. Migration ought not to be taken for granted as a piece of cake... because it's not. It requires significant time and effort. I have politely stated my point of view. Take it or leave it... I am not a lone voice on this issue. Positively, ~ Alan

DTLow wrote: "I find the Evernote editor adequate for basic notes" You just made my point: YOU HAVE ADAPTED. EN is only capable of basic notes. I now require advanced rich text capabilities, which EN has failed to integrate throughout the past 5-years. I am not interested in adapting my needs to EN's low common denominator... in fact there are more basic PIM's on the market that (for years) have provided superior formatting capabilities. I expect software companies to ADAPT and improve their software on a timely basis. Simply... EN has not... and likely won't any time soon enough! LOL! Positively, ~ Alan

DTLow: From my perspective as a marketing professional and former independent Software Beta Tester and Evaluator (from MS to shareware): 1. EN has enormously diminished their own revenue stream by being so callously non-responsive throughout the past 5-years to its Power User base. 2. I myself have been a PAID subscriber 2x... only to decline renewal last year due to EN's dismal committment to tech support and development progress. 3. TOP PRIORITY - 1: Security & Privacy... global support of encryption algorithms. 4. TOP PRIORITY - 2: Advanced rich-text editing features. Positively, ~ Alan
