Here is another vote for the Horizontal view. Why: In order to see the content of the columns panel the app needs to be in fullscreen and even then it's crowded. The App does not remember the width of the panels so need to realign every time the app is opened. If the column panel is expanded to the full view some of the Note panel editor buttons disappear on the right (should appear with an arrow down like in Office) It allows you to see they layout of the note fully. Better use of space when you have multiple short notes such as when you add to-do items. ...and more What to do right now: You can upgrade to an older version on Mac. It also has visual cues to show what folder and tags are selected together that are not shown on Mac. You can install the Windows version if you have Parallels, or similar. Ctrl-Shift-F5 allows you to switch between horizontal and vertical in list view.
