I am adding my +1 to this feature request. For several years I did not care about thumbnails too much, but now that I am using Evernote for cooking, correct thumbnails have become essential. I grab screenshots of recipes. I take cell phone pics of the finished product. Both go into an Evernote note. Because I don't want to print two pages next time I make the recipe, I prefer to size the photo smaller than the recipe screenshot. Unfortunately, EN's algorithm then pics a random area of the recipe text as my thumbnail....NOT useful at all. The "largest smallest dimension" algorithm mandates that in my case the only way to get the correct thumbnail is to have a HUGE food image in the note, since the recipe screenshot (taken from a Kindle ebook opened in the Amazon Cloud Reader) is required to be a certain size in order to read its text. I am a Premium subscriber and love EN. I'd love it even more if we can select the displayed thumbnail.
