  1. Try right click - Expand Thanks. It's actually "Hide/Show Notebook List", not "Expand/Collapse". Well, at least it's still there - but I'd rather have this feature the way it was before: a single click, instead of "right click">>"click again"... Yeah, strangely Notes is Expand and Notebooks is as you say (I say strange but it's just badly done). You mean "Recent Notes"? "Notes" itself doesn't have a list to be expanded or collapsed in the menu, it just takes me to the notes. Anyway, I don't seem to have an "Expand" option in any of them..!! Actually, right clicking "Shortcuts" and "Recent Notes" only shows the option "Remove from Sidebar"; "Notes" shows a grayed out "Remove from Sidebar", nothing else; "Notebooks" shows 2 options: "Hide/Show Notebook List" and "Remove from Sidebar"; "Tags" shows "Hide/Show Tag List" and "Remove from Sidebar". We don't seem to be running the same version of EN..!! Mine says Evernote Version 5.6.0 Beta 5 (450630 Direct) - what's yours?

  3. First impressions: 1) No problems updating; 2) I love the Spotlight search integration; 3) I miss the ability to expand and collapse Shortcuts, Notebooks and Tags in the left menu (please bring it back!); 4) I miss the “sync bar” that used to show sync progress on the left down corner; 5) I didn’t like the new dialog for moving a specific note to another notebook, when clicking on the note’s current notebook - it’s slower to load and unnecessarily bigger and dislocated to the center - it used to quickly open a small list menu of available notebooks just below the current one, which was more intuitive and effective IMO.
  4. The problem is still unsolved... Although I find the new handwriting tool very cool, I would rather have working shortcuts before that - in my opinion, it is a basic and vital feature that should be working flawlessly by now. Please, Evernote team: any plans on fixing that?
  5. Your tips might be useful for someone using a PC, but this topic is specific for the android platform... BTW, when we use the android EN widget for adding a new "reminder", it does default to the title, unlike the "new note" behaviour. I use the widget a lot, especially the voice-to-text shortcut for quick notes on-the-go, but it behaves like the "new note", placing the cursor in the body of the note. It would be awesome if this could also default to the title, just like the "new reminder" does. My opinion is that this should be a configurable feature in EN settings. Moreover, a shortcut directly to a "new voice-to-text reminder" (bypassing the step of tapping the little mic on the keyboard) would be a killer feature for many, including me!
