  1. Hi agsteele There are various ways to achieve this. It's possible to compare a note with similar notes (which EN already does in their web search extension) and suggest the tags accordingly from those similar notes. It's also possible to find keywords in the note text, which is also a rather common practice. One might also search for keywords based on the existing tags. While this might not necessarily be perfect, it would clearly improve and speed up the process of tagging, imho, and provide much benefit.
  2. Tags are very useful, but it's often difficult to find the good ones in a short moment. Evernote could suggest suitable tags, in particular existing ones, but also new ones, while editing a note. That would improve the retrieval of notes significantly.
  3. How would tagging help? Search results from searching for tags has the same limitation (50 notes). If it's a policy on the server side the legacy app would not help, either (but that may not be true, or couse. Didn't try.) Thanks for your help!
  4. Unfortunately, this "feature"/bug is still there. It's still not possible to select more than 50 notes at once. Worse: after deleting the first batch of 50 notes, a second batch cannot be deleted unless the Evernote app (Windows) is quit and restarted. Now, the first can be considered a "feature", but the second one certainly is a bug....
  5. I'm really happy that tasks are finally coming to Evernote. However, I wonder about the way they are implemented now. In the past, at some point, reminders were introduced for notes. Unfortunately, they are still a half-finished feature. Why not finish that approach and create tasks as notes with due dates, reminders and all the features that tasks now get? It would be a cleaner solution to just define tasks this way, imho. Lists of tasks could still be created as TOCs of task notes. Note reminders are now still a half-baked thing living alongside the new tasks. Isn't that weird?
  6. Agree that Evernote, finally, is getting better, again, and catching up with the competition. There is improvement in stability, performance and features, lately. I'm getting more and more happy, again.
  7. Selecting multiple notes is limited to 50 notes at a time. I want to delete many notes (2500) from a certain source. However, I can only select and delete 50 at once and after deleting those 50 (which takes quite a while) the delete option is disabled until I restart Evernote. Why this limitation? Why this bug?
  8. Indeed, there are more features missing from the search grammar. It's nice to set a reminder automatically to occur at (or before) the due date. And then you can add more reminders for working on a task.
  9. I like the separation of due date and reminders.
  10. The option Add new task for every note takes a lot of vertical space. Could this be removed and replaced by a small (+) to the right of the note title, please?
  11. Could the link in the sidebar open a full page list of tasks, rather than the pop-up, please? Preferably, in a table with sort and filter options. Various viewing options, similar to the notes lists, could be useful.
  12. Wow, thanks for Tasks! This is a really nice and useful feature. Nevertheless, a few requests: - Connect tasks to Google Calendar and other agendas for both due and notification date/time. - Allow for formatting text and including (internal) links into task text. - Add a location field to tasks (connected to Google Maps). Trigger a notification when reaching the location and time. - Add task hierarchies. - Add recurring tasks. - Filter tasks by tags (of their containing note) and allow for saving filters. For example, filter for only work or home related tasks or a certain project. - Delay tasks and move unfinished tasks to today or tomorrow. Cheers. André
  13. I cannot stress enough how important his feature would be. It's so obvious and still missing. In my case, writing on paper, photographing the note and having it recognise the handwritten text is marvellous. But, without being able to copy and paste the converted text, it doesn't make much sense. Searching is fine, but not enough!

  15. How great would it be to remotely control an Evernote Present slide show via the app on your mobile phone? The mobile app could be connected to the desktop or web app via wifi and be used to jump though slides and to control the virtual laser pointer.
  16. It's really great to see that consistency of user experience has become a focus of Evernote. Well done with the new tagging system. I wonder why you would need a way for creating a new tag when you can create one after an unsuccessful search, anyway. The first option is obsolete, imho. Just start typing and the tag will be found or created.
  17. Yes, I know, but Atlas has disappeared from Windows! It was already not well implemented, because the used Open Street Map instead of Google Maps. But it's needed very much. Also, the Android version of the map is very slow. They don't seem to use Google Maps in a good way (if at all).
  18. Oh my dear. I just updated the locations of several notes for a trip - only to find that ATLAS IS GONE!!! No, please, bring it back! Proper Google Maps integration would be so cool.
  19. Recurring reminders are much needed, indeed, and quite straightforward to implement ;-) Please!
