Here is another clue - I went to the web app and when I clicked on PDF attachment it downloaded and opened it instantly. So there is something going on with the desktop app. I will re & re and see what that does.

You know the email clipper in my Gmail extension disappeared a day or two ago. I still have the web clipper icon, but no email clipper. So I am going to try an uninstall and re-install. I will let you know if that solves either of these problems

And I just tried the Right-click, edit and anontate option and it opened in a Paint-like program (which I have never used). So they can open but not as a PDF in Adobe Acrobat. I have Adobe Acrobat DC

I have 100's of PDF attachments and none of them are opening. Double-click, Right-click and select open. Nothing. On a Windows 10 machine. I just installed an SSD drive and copied the contents of my old SATA C drive on to the SSD. But I think they were opening after we did that. I am on version 10.27.5 Can I find the individual PDF's somewhere under Programs/Data. Or are they all rolled up into the one big Evernote data file?

Hi guys, I am no longer getting duplicate notes. It stopped all on its own. Not sure why. I did re-install Windows and my entire 😄 drive on to an SSD. But the good news that it is gone. (that smiling face emoji is creating itself when I type Cee colon!)

Just in from support - I can confirm that this is an issue we are aware of, and our development team is working on improvements to sync to help reduce conflicts. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this issue is causing you. You've been with us since 2012, and as one of our long time customers, this is not the kind of situation we want you to experience. Although I don't yet have a time frame for when this issue will be resolved, I can assure you we're working diligently to fix it as quickly as possible. Looks like Pink Elephant was right about it being sync related. I will keep you posted...

Hi guys, I just sent in a support ticket, as per Pink Elephant's advice. EN has responded to say it has been received, so I will let you all know what they have to say. There seems to be a couple of threads on this same issue. I will make sure I put any information I find out on all applicable threads.

Just now I put a 3 line entry into the Scratch Pad on the Home Page and it duplicated itself twice in the scratch pad. So this is getting serious. I have continued to manually delete, but this is starting to get painful. I assume Evernote is aware of the problem, but does not have an answer yet, hence the lack of response to this thread. Evernote - are you out there? What is going on ?

Just to let you all know, Nick L. asked to sent a "DM" about this issue. I did that on Oct. 21st (a week ago) and my inbox is saying that he has not opened my message yet. So that sucks. Not quite sure what is going on. The problem persists.

I was just able to create a note that was duplicated 3 times in about 2 or 3 minutes. Once 3 iterations are duplicated it stops. It is easy enough to quickly move them to Trash and then delete them, but annoying for sure. Hopefully you can get this sorted in the next week or two. And I will just give my opinion that I am in favour of the constant upgrades and tweaking. If every once in awhile we have to live with a glitch like this because you are constantly trying to improve the product, I am all for it.

hahaha. For sure. If we could have seen ads back then for the current machines - 8 gigs of memory, 2T SSD storage, 4k resolution - in a laptop for <$1,500. Hahaha. We would not have believed it and a whole bunch of hardware companies would have folded their tents right then and there. Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated.

Nice. Ram drive. hahaha. Reminds me of some software I installed in the 80's that would swap data from the region of RAM btwn 640k and 1m down into the 640k region so it could be manipulated. Thanks for your help with Evernote. Invaluable.

Pink Elephant. All good now. Curiously when Evernote started back up I was signed in and Tasks were working just fine. Not sure what happened. (I know that I deleted my data because I went to empty my recycle bin and my Evernote data file was the only file in there). But everything is working again, so that is great. Thanks for your help!

Pink Elephant. Thank you! The web client looks just like my desktop now! Home button and everything. Thank you for pointing out that setting. I had no idea. I am waiting for Evernote to restart on my desktop and I am noticing in the Task Manager there are 5 Evernote icons all cycling through the CPU and memory, but it is yet to pop open on my screen. I had it set to load on startup and I have also clicked the app icon in the Windows Start menu. Any idea why it is taking so long to load? I do not have a solid-state drive (I have one sitting in my drawer ready to install but I never get the time to make sure I know what I am doing before I try installing it). Thanks again for the help with the web client. Once I have Evernote on my desktop I will give you an update

Uninstalling, re-installing did not help. Same problem still on the desktop app. 10.20.4. (2893). The Tasks do show up inside my notes on my desktop app, and seem to be working normally inside of the notes. Hope this can get fixed soon.

Hi Tammy, Got it on the stand-alone task. Yes it would be great to add Tags. I expect that Tasks has been such a welcome addition that we will see enhancements to their functionality continuing. Regarding my Task not showing up - in the main Evernote window. Windows 10 desktop computer. Still not working. Scares me when stuff like this happens!

This just started last night. But persists this morning. When I click on Tasks on the left side-bar, the Tasks panel appears, with its usual headings, but all I get is a spinning green circle which goes on forever. When I checked on the Web app, all of my Tasks appear as a white space with the caption "Content not supported". I will uninstall and reload the app on my Win10 desktop, as a first attempt to solve. Any other information on this?

btw, I would love it if you could add tags to tasks as well.

You can create a Task in any note, right? No need for them to all be in a "Things to do" note. Just bringing this to your attention. My Tasks are not loading at all right now, so I came here to see if there was a solution, and saw your comment. Hope this helps. (and I hope I understood your comment properly 🙂 )
