  1. Thanks for the instructions for a workaround. I haven't tried it yet because I'm too pissed off and need to calm down for bedtime. I will try it tomorrow. I'm sorry I clicked on the "relaunch to update" link.
  2. Have you tried uninstalling the app, rebooting the phone, then reinstalling the app?
  3. I've also seen that. And, the notebooks with the locks are sometimes listed multiple times, some with the lock and some without. Sometimes there are four listings for the same notebook. I have to choose the "correct" one of the four and then usually two are checkmarked as selected. This was with a new install on a new Samsung S21 Ultra. So far, I've been able to move the note as desired, even though the notebook list is very weird looking.
  4. Thank you, Alxa. I'll have to try this to see if that's why some of my camera notes don't display an index image. This seemingly inconsistent behavior where some notes display index images and some don't has been driving me nuts.
  5. Yesterday I created a bunch of notes by duplicating the previous note. I thought I would save myself time by not having to re-enter the common text. Ha! The jokes on me. The second note from the top is displaying the thumbnail for a different note. The third note from the top is displaying the thumbnail that should be displayed for the second note. The second note is display right next to the index image. All the notes I created by using the Duplicate Note option are displaying the wrong thumbnail. They display correctly on the desktop using the old Windows app (afraid to update that machine after reading about all the problems and missing features). In addition, the original note and one other do not display an image thumbnail for the note - I have noticed this inconsistent behavior with other notes created since the "new and improved" app was first released. I have tried rebooting the phone, deleting the Evernote cache, modifying the notes on the desktop and resyncing. Nothing works. The solution for now is to duplicate the note on the desktop and delete the original note created on my phone. I tried this, it works. Sigh.
  6. Same problem here. I don't remember the exact numbers but it said something like 700 notes for the tag but when I clicked on the tag, it displayed 15. Same with notebooks, it only displays a portion of the notes in a notebook. Makes the app useless. I end up having to search the web or email or, if I'm home, go upstairs and find the note I want on the desktop. If I'm not home, I'm SOL. Given how many issues I've had, either the developers don't use Evernote themselves or their testing protocols are very poor. I would never have released software like this when I was working as a developer.
  7. Looks like it works. I didn't have to log out of the Android app. I did the default notebook change in the Windows app, not the web version.
  8. Although this issue was supposedly fixed in 10.5, I still have notes that show no content in the All Notes list and only an image file name when the note is opened. I really, really wish I had turned off automatic updates for Evernote. Had I only known ...
  9. I have the same problem running Evernote 10.5 on Android. The only thing that shows on the Move Note screen is Find Notebook and New Notebook. There is no list of notebooks, even after more than 10 minutes. Putting the notebook name in the find field doesn't produce any results. The Done option is grayed out. The only thing that works is cancelling. The only way to get the note into the correct notebook is to create it and then remember to move it the next time I'm on the desktop computer or navigate to the desired notebook before creating the note. The whole app is extremely slow and not very usable because of other issues. I want the old app back.
  10. I have also been having this problem for the last year or so. The android app allows you to edit the note without touching the edit symbol. I don't think that's the answer because some notes would save and sync correctly and some got locked. In many cases all I did was correct the title of the note or add tags. Those changes also cause locks to happen. Now, I try to make sure I touch the edit symbol even if I'm not changing the body of the note. It seems to help. I forgot on one note yesterday and it locked. But when I went to fix it today, it no longer shows as locked. So, that's weird. I did report the locking problem to tech support last year but the response wasn't very helpful. I don't remember exactly but it boiled down to make a new note and get rid of the old one. However, the biggest problem I have right now is: How can I find the locked notes amongst the thousands of notes in my Evernote? When running the sync, it dings and shows which note fails but they go by too fast to make note of. The notification only mentions one note and when you click on it, Evernote just shows some generic text about making sure you're the owner, etc. - doesn't take you to that note. There doesn't seem to be a way to view a log showing the failures. So, the only way I know to find them is to sync, capture the title of one note, fix it, repeat until they're all gone.
