About Lyn

  1. Thanks for your replies. I have sent a request for support to Evernote.
  2. Well downloading the pictures via the online evernote program was working and then it froze and a dialogue box said 'the app is currently unreachable'. I managed to download about 10 pictures, but they will all need the file extensions put on to make any sense. I think Evernote needs to look at this. How do I do that?
  3. Yes I can delete the files on the online version, not the desktop version of evernote. The trouble is, those documents have now been discarded. I'm going to have to take screen shots somehow.
  4. Thanks for your reply. I thought that when I took a picture with snapshot, it would automatically create it's own note unless I chose to add extra snapshots to that particular file. I don't know what I'm doing wrong still. This is what the file looks like on the desktop evernote version. If I can't understand the problem, I won't be using this method of capturing documents again. I have alternatives. I just thought it was going to be really useful.
  5. I've been using evernote on my mobile phone to take snapshots of documents. Most of them I then moved into the appropriate notebooks. But then there is this really annoying note of over 100mbs residing in my inbox of many of these snapshots. I can't download it, I can only view it online otherwise it won't open and the only thing I can do with it is delete it. Trouble is I'm not sure all the snapshots were moved and I don't want to delete this file without checking. What's it doing there? Is it an error? Can I do something with it besides view it online or delete it online?
  6. No, but your reply did get a few grey cells working and I realised that I had the links to my favourite notebooks on the home screen. When I tap one of these, a list of notes for that notebook opens and there seems no way to get back to the 'proper' evernote home screen from there which is where that helpful + is. So now I realise that, I can put the link to the evernote homescreen on the tablet homescreen and navigate from there. The other links are a bit useless except if I just want to view existing notes. All links aren't equal.
  7. Thanks for reading this. I don't know how to start a new note on my tablet in evernote. I can bring up my notebooks and view them. I can hold down my finger on a note and bring up a long list of things i might like to do with it. I can see where to share a note, I can add to home screen, go into settings etc., but I cannot see where to start a new note. I'm using a samsung note 2014 tablet, I'm not very impressed with it. I keep coming back to the laptop to any reasonable job. I have evernote on my mobile and it is far more interactive there. What am I doing wrong?
  8. I'm new to Evernote but as so pleased I got it. I do research on different aspects of New Zealand history and keep the information in separate notebooks. A museum in another town wants my information and I suggested that they get Evernote so that I can just share the notebook applicable to their town. Their usual sources of paper information is now being entered into a government supplied database program which is used locally but I thought for our relationship, Evernote would be better because I can just enter new information in that notebook and they would have immediate access to it. Is this how it can work?
