  1. "me too". Had Evernote on my iOS6 iPad. THen I upgraded to iOS7 and installed the iOS7-specific version of Evernote. When I launched it, it asked me for login & password (?? can't it transfer this from my previous installation?) and it shows my notebooks, but none of the notes. Clicking 'sync' causes it to "sync" without any errors, but obviously no content comes down. Just submitted a support ticket; i noticed in the attached log: 2013-10-01 08:26:29.128 [lvl=3] -[ENSyncEngine _performSynchronizationWithAuthRefresh:] TTransportException: Could not make HTTP request userInfo = { error = "Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1009 \"The Internet connection appears to be offline.\" UserInfo=0x166eefd0 {NSErrorFailingURLStringKey=https://www.evernote.com/shard/s128/notestore, NSErrorFailingURLKey=https://www.evernote.com/shard/s128/notestore, NSLocalizedDescription=The Internet connection appears to be offline., NSUnderlyingError=0x167229b0 \"The Internet connection appears to be offline.\"}";} I am most certainly NOT offline; my browser and all of that work fine. I believe there is a bug in iOS7 for apps that switch between making HTTP and HTTPS requests where the network stack gets confused and it appears as if the user doesn't have an internet connection. Maybe that is the problem here? My iPad app had the same issue. Anyway doing a reinstall fixed the issue. -Jeff
  2. Hi. Welcome to the forums. I'd recommend switching from the appstore version to the direct download one. It is relatively quick and painless, and it will give you access to every feature available in Evernote, including print to Evernote. See this thread for directions: http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/16062-uninstalling-everrnote-for-mac-os-x/#entry173494 Hello, I'm a little confused. You say to switch from the appstore version to the direct download version. If I check on the AppStore, it shows version 5.0.7 updated Mar 29, 2013. When I go to the link you referenced, and in that message click on the link in Step 5 to download the latest version of the Mac client ("this is the home brew, not the Apple appstore one"), it takes me to http://evernote.com/evernote/index.php?file=EvernoteMac, which kicks off a download of Evernote_400995.dmg in the background, and has a "Get Evernote for Mac" button on the main webpage which, when clicked, takes me to the appstore version. It's a little weird having a link that automatically downloads what I assume is the "home brew" version, and at the same time has a big green "Get Evernote for Mac!" button that appears to take me to the appstore version, so I wanted to make sure I understood this correctly. I should NOT click "Get Evernote for Mac", since that launches out to the AppStore version, and instead install from the Evernote_400995.dmg version that downloads in the background... right? Thanks!
  3. Hi, Evernote 5.0.7 on Mac OS X 10.8.3 Let's say I've just paid my gas bill online. I'd like to add proof of my payment to my 'Unfiled' notebook in Evernote, where I would later on tag it as "Utilities" and "Receipt" and move it into a better location. Right now, here is how I do it: 1) Hit 'Print' in my browser. 2) 'Destination' is already set to "Save as PDF", so I simply click on the 'Save' button 3) Figure out somewhere to save it on my desktop 4) Switch to Evernote 5) Skootch Evernote window over a little bit 6) Open a Finder window 7) Skootch Finder window over a little bit, and select the 'Desktop' folder 8) Drag the PDF from my Desktop folder onto Evernote This would be much nicer if Evernote had its own "Send to Evernote as PDF" print destination. For example, see my mockup. Apparently something like this is possible per this thread: http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/29021-save-pdf-to-evernote-on-mac/page-2#entry176300 However, I am not finding a "~/Library/PDF Services" folder on my machine, and before I go on a wild goose chase, I'm curious if there is a less hackish (i.e. natively-supported) way to do this. If not, I would like to submit this as a feature request, please let me know how I can do this.
  4. Thanks for your prompt help. The notes in my "Recipes" notebook appear in triplicate on the server, so I will file a support ticket now. It's quite interesting, because my other 20 notebooks don't experience this problem. It's ONLY my Recipes notebook, and each recipe appears THREE times. Quite an odd dupe/sync problem. A hint: Some time ago, I had installed the Evernote Food app on my iPad, hoping it would provide a neat interface to the hundred or so recipes I just scanned. I guess I was mislead by its marketing spin, because it really just turned out to be some kind of Yelp / food review kind of thing, so I didn't use it. But, I wonder if I pointed it to my Recipes folder when I set it up (I don't really remember its install process since I only had it on my iPad for about five minutes before I uninstalled it), and perhaps that might account for some the strangeness here?
  5. I did the password reset on my Mac. Worked fine. Next time I launched evernote on my iPad, it showed all my content but then quickly popped up a dialog where I had to re-sign-on, and it seemed to be syncing the content afresh. All of the items in one folder (my recipes) ended up with three copies of each note. So now I get to go through almost 360 items and delete duplicates. Why did this happen? How can I ensure it doesn't happen again?
  6. I have taken a screenshot in Skitch, and added a text box. I want to copy this, and paste it into <insert application here>. 1) Select All 2) Observe that my text box is selected 3) Copy 4) Switch to <insert application here> 5) Paste Actual: My text box is pasted, but the screenshot image is not. Expected: The text box & screenshot is pasted Workaround 1: Use the built-in Mac screenshot utility (control-command-shift-4) and paste Workaround 2: Export skitch image to a PNG file. Open the file in Preview. Do Select All & Copy. Then paste into <insert application here> Surely there is some way to copy the Skitch contents that I am just missing? My usage doesn't require saving to file / evernote. I just want it in the clipboard Thanks! -Goffredo
