I have my notes sorted by date updated in notebooks. I've noticed recently that when I do a search for a note, some of the notes that appear in my search become now appear at the top of a notebook list, despite my having not edited them. This is highly unwanted behavior. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and what might be causing it. This is Mac desktop but I think I've also noticed it in the Mac Windows version.

I have no issues with the EN app on my phone and am logged in. What have I tried?
- removing the widget and adding it back
- logging out of the EN app and logging back in

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing - haven't been able to resolve it.

I've been exploring how to automate sending mail from Apple Mail to Evernote and I can't figure it out although I know it's possible with Apple Script? What I want to do is to forward an email and to change the subject line by appending the @ and # words for where to put the email in EN and what tag to append. Just wondering if there are any simple instructions out there as to how to do it. I haven't been able to find..

Would be very helpful to be able to color the cards in the snippet view i.e. fill fill color of one's choice.

Trying to figure out whether to have my scanner scan as searchable PDF or not. Did a test and EN detected the searched-for words, regardless of how I scanned. So does it matter which setting I use to scan? Thanks..

I have some type-written pages that I wish to scan into EN using my Fujistu scanner. I want to ensure that OCR is optimal and I want to be able to select text from the document in EN and paste it into Word, on occasion.
 

When reading about this on EN's site, I came across this:
 

"In practical terms, this eliminates many PDFs generated by other applications from text-based formats, such as word processors and other authoring applications. PDFs that are generated by hardware scanners generally meet the above requirements. If the scanner software performs its own OCR on the PDF, it won’t be processed by Evernote’s OCR service."

It sounds as though I should be able to do this optimally with the Fujistu... What I am not sure about is the statement about the scanner performing OCR vs EN performing OCR, and I have never thought about this before.

Do I need to do something to ensure that EN is performing the OCR?

If I clip a note from  the web, the image in the note shows up in the list view. When I delete that image from the note and replace it with another image, the original image is being retained in list view. Is this a bug or is there a way in which I can force it to display the updated image?

It also does't auto upgrade to v10

What is the procedure for doing this? I assume do not "upgrade" from 7.14 but download separately from Evernote website? Anything to be aware of re issues doing this double install?

Do we actually know with any degree of certainty that EN acknowledges the issues and is actively working to correct them, such that there will be a version that doesn't have the issues?

Just wondering whether all the "issues" with 10 have been resolved with the latest release? It's hard to tell from this forum (where obviously users with issues will post) just how many issues remain with 10. I don't have any local notebooks, anymore...

Thanks. I have exported local notes as HTML and also as ENEX. To reinstall these, when the time comes, do I just use the ENEX - import ENEX and check import tags in the import dialog box?

I need to wipe my Mac and reinstall all software. I have backups. As far as EN goes, anything special I need to do beforehand?

Hello, I have upgraded to Catalina and downloaded ScanSnap Home to scan directly with my ix500 to EN. I can't find instructions for how to set up the scanner to scan to EN like I used to do with the old software. I could find instructions to do it through the cloud but I would like to just scan directly to EN on my computer rather than EN in the cloud. If anyone can point me to instructions it would be appreciated.

Just wondering what the difference is between exporting all notes and making a copy of the database folder? Which is the best strategy for backups? I use Time Machine but would like to also keep a separate off-line backup.
