  1. Sorry to cross-post this, but it appears this might be a better thread on which to post my feature request. Although I've been an Evernote user for quite a while, I've recently migrated my Springpad data to Evernote as well. Springpad allowed the user to choose whether or not to hide checked items... it was an awesome feature for on the fly shopping, errand running, work flow, etc. When you're through with the list you can unhide the checked items and start again another time, or leave them hidden and work through the list over a longer period. It is a great feature... I'd love to see it in Evernote.

  3. If anyone is still looking for this feature, I've found a non-destructive way to merge notes... and it's easy... When you have selected all of the notes you want to merge, select "email" instead of "merge." Instead of your usual email address, mail the notes to your Evernote account. Voila! They will turn up merged in your inbox (or other assigned notebook) and your original notes will remain intact. Hope this helps someone else!
  4. I've come up with a way to do this more simply! When you have selected all of the notes you want to merge, select "email" instead of "merge." Instead of your usual email address, mail the notes to your Evernote account. Voila! They will turn up merged in your inbox (or other assigned notebook) and your original notes will remain intact. 5. I, too, would like to see that when notes with a particular tag are merged, the original notes aren't deleted. Restoring them from the trash is just a pain. I have my notes tagged with more than one tag, sometimes up to four or five. Having to restore the notes for each merge is tedious, especially since I have upwards of 60 tags and will have several thousand notes to be sorted and merged by the time the thesis I'm working on is finished.
