Please stop offering an automatic Update to new versions, as it does not work.
My observation: Installation via the prompted message does work and the new Evernote version starts presenting the updates of this version.
After restarting my computer and starting Evernote the old version is active again, and I am again prompted to upgrade.
The only way to install the new version is to manually download the new version and then install it under my Admin-login.
If you cannot overcome this issue, please stop offering it or at least offer an option to not being prompted in the future.

However: New update Version 10.9.10 to 10.10.5 same experience:
- Automatic installation is reverted after PC has been turn off and back on again
Annoying.
-
Workaround that did work for me:
- Do not use the automatic update Evernote is offering
- Download latest Versions (e.g. Evernote-10.9.10-win-ddl-ga-2439-setup.exe)
- Install the setup file downloaded while loged in with the regular Windows user account but start the installation with the Windows-Admin credentials
Result:
Evernote 10.9.10 is installed and after restarts of the PC this new version is still working and Evernote does not inform about a new version being available.

The remarks have been entered into the remarks box in the Chrome Web Clipper.
Why do they appear inside the new container called 'Web-Clip' and thus can only be edited after 'Simplify & Make Editable' has been selected.
I would prefer these remarks to appear between the title of the note and the container where they can be edited directly.

For vitalyb - I think you have got an interesting solution.
Hoever with my non-technical background as a 'user only' I do not dare to apply your solution

How about a solution similar to the source-URL from a web clipping under Info and in the head of the note?
If more then one note would link to this one the drop-down could list all notes referring back to this one?
Ability to modify the "updated" date/time of a note within the Note Info function
in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)

I do not understand why the behavior has been changed at all. Update means that I have changed something in the notes content or metadata.
Just looking at the note might be a metadata 'viewed last'.
I am looking at my notes (Windows) with the sort criteria 'updated'. So I always see the notes last edited.
