Hi Mike, thank you for your suggestion. You are right. It's a new feature released on the begging of the year. I love it and also published a video about it. But it's not exactly the best solution if the person needs to find and select a specific tag. With so many tags, I cannot remember all the names, and sometimes I rely on the nesting system to navigate and find the one I'm looking for.

If I search for a parent tag in the tags' drawer, there's no option to expand it to see the nested tags. The expansion is possible on the shortcuts area and even in the drawer, but only if we scroll the list and click parent tag, as explained on the video below. Please add the option to expand a searched parent tag.

The web client is getting better and better after Evernote 10, but several shortcuts are missing. Please add the "Switch to..." shortcut.

I don't know if you simply forgot it, or if it was intentional, but it looks like there's a setting missing under the new settings (v. 10.35) Sidebar tab. I think “Show Recent Notes in Sidebar” should be there as well.

The official release note says: “the original entry points still remain”, but in my humble opinion they should give way to the new unified UI. If one clicks, say, on the Calendar Settings on Home, the pop-up window presented should be the new UI window at the Calendar Settings tab. This would help people get used to the new settings area, that I'm assuming will house more option in the future.

Hi @PinkElephant, as @Mike P put it, my suggestion is to update Web Clipper to the modern YouTube embedding feature we got after Evernote 10. Instead of the image (cover art) we would be able to actually watch the embedded video without leaving the note.

Now that notes support embedded videos, it would be a much better experience if videos clipped with Web Clipper were playable (embedded) instead of an image of the thumbnail.

I love that we can now embed YouTube videos in notes. It's beautify and useful, but as an educator, it would be invaluable to point students to a shared public note with the lesson topics and a playable video. Instead, what we get today is only the link to the video. And if we stop to think about its potential, this would be useful in so many other situations: online manuals, sales, etc.

To be able to separate a note in a window, is a simple, yet a powerful feature of Evernote. It helps bring focus to the note we are working on and, at the same time, it frees the Evernote App to be used to research other notes and information related to the work we are doing. That said, having a keyboard shortcut for the “Open in new window” menu option would make our work even more productive.

100% agree. The combination Notebooks + Tags it's an alternative that can mimic the indentation and, IMHO, has more benefits than nesting notebooks. In a traditional file system, nesting makes it impossible to categorize the same file in different folders. Tags solve that on Evernote.

I have 4 Google Sheets that I constantly need to interact with, and to make things easier I created a Pinned Note with them. Technically speaking, it is working. I can see the name of the files and click on them and get to the spreadsheets, but that loading blue line keeps going back and forth forever as if the spreadsheets didn't finish loading. And this only happens on the widget. There are no blue lines on the note.

I see a lot of value in the Evernote-Drive integration; however, I would love to see a real integration. Similar to what happens with embedded YouTube videos, it would be extraordinary to see and maybe be able to edit parts of spreadsheets, videos, and other documents as a window in the note. This would be of much use, specially for people that need more powerful tables. Other use cases would be watching in the note our videos saved in Google Drive. And a simple version of this have already existed in the past. Before Evernote 10, images and videos from Google Drive would have a thumbnail below that gray bar.

Hi, after the latest Evernote update (10.27.5 mac-ddl-public 3122) the behaviour of the advanced search syntax changed. I'm not sure if it is just a bug or if you guys changed it. Upper and lower case are not ignored anymore. For example, if the tag is "Evernote" and I try tag:evernote, I'll get no results. It has to be tag:Evernote to work. This is also affecting the use of saved searches and saved searches on the Filtered Notes Widget. I checked the Advanced Search Syntax page at Learning & Help and it still says "upper and lower case are ignored". So, I'm more inclined to believe it is a bug.

Hey @Jack Lynch, to add to the debate. I do agree with the point brought by @PinkElephant . If we are talking about two or more people collaborating on a project, using Evernote, even if the free version, is the best option. I'm an Evernote evangelist and try to sell the idea of using it to everyone I know, especially my clients. But I'm talking about light use. Let's say 5 or 6 tasks per week or month. There are several situations where I can see this happening. For example, I'm right now with a client that is an executive of a company, and I'm helping him use Evernote to manage his life and work. He loves Tasks, but there are several situations on his workflow that he would benefit from assigning a couple of tasks to some people that work with him and don't use Evernote. These are all very simple tasks, and it's not enough to ask someone to install Evernote, especially because Evernote is not a task management software. Let's imagine two situations. A person like the one I described above dealing with assigned tasks spread all around will not find it an efficient solution and will complain. Now let's shift to the same person dealing with the same page we have today, but with all the tasks there. It will be a pleasant experience, and she or he will consider trying Evernote.

Thank you so much for bringing this feature, but I did some tests, and, to be honest, it's not what I was expecting. And it may end up creating a lot of friction. At least based on the tests I did here, each assigned task will have its page, even if they are all for the same person (email address). The main problems I can easily foresee are: Non-Evernote customers will quickly lose the ability to track their tasks because they are spread all around. Task notification emails will quickly become annoying and inefficient. And they will probably be ignored at some point. Of course, if the person becomes a customer it's all solved, but it's not always the case. In my opinion, each email address should have a single page with all the assigned tasks.

Sorry, I did not find the specific space to report problems with Home beta on iOS. I'm running it on a 2018 iPad (basic model) for 24h and the image banner and the Scratch Pad do not update with the content that I have on the other devices: Mac, Web and Android. I have already tried closing/opening the App and it didn't work. All other widgets are working fine. By the way, the the notes I take on Scratch Pad on Android (Pixel 3a) take a while to apear on my Mac and vice-versa.

I love the new place for the URL on the note, but I think it can get even better. Please let us optionally set a name/title to be shown instead of the address. I suggest adding a new text box on the note information screen with the following behavior: If a name is written, it will show on the note. If it is left blank the URL will show like it works today.

Yes it worked before 10. I have my most use notebooks and stacks set as shortcuts to easily move notes around.

If one has a list of checkbox items and press enter to add another item, the list is auto-converted to a checklist. I imagine this is happening to show users that the new checklist feature exits, but it is not a good move. There are several situations where the traditional checkbox in list format is more useful because of it characteristics. For example, there are some lists that are not task lists and the items are not meant to be crossed when the box is checked.

I noticed that I can drag notes to notebooks that are on the sidebar, but it doesn't work if the notebook is inside shortcuts.

I use a Mac, but I think this request is relevant to all Evernote versions. Once we select a notebook and click on the filter to choose a tag, we should only be presented to tags related to that notebook like it was before v10. There's no point on being presented to tags that are not present on that notebook. It creates confusion and makes selecting tags harder.

Good idea! But I have to confess that I'm becoming addicted to Filters 🤓 and having YT and other items there would be amazing.
