    You should be able to disable this option by going to Evernote > Preferences > Formatting and unchecking the box next to "Keyboard shortcuts automatically create lists, lines, and emojis." Likewise, you should also be able to use Cmd + Z to undo an automatically created emoji.

    @freevees, tapping the three dots on the scan screen will pull up a menu with an option to switch the capture mode from auto to manual.

    @iRock1 -  This has been an issue in the past but we implemented some fixes a number of versions ago. There are a few things I'd like you to check if this is still an issue for you:
     
    If you installed the desktop app via the Mac App Store, try switching to the direct download from Evernote.com. Instructions are on our KB: https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/24422932 If you are still seeing the same issue after switching to the direct download, try a Spotlight rebuild by performing the following steps in Evernote: (Edit: Apologies, I originally provided the wrong instructions)  1. Hold down the Option key on your keyboard and hover over "Help" on the top menu bar
    2. Mouse over "Troubleshooting" on the dropdown menu that appears 
    3. Select "Recreate Spotlight Search Index"
     
    If this still doesn't resolve your issue, please submit a support ticket, post the ticket number here and we can take a look.

    Thanks for clarifying. The "Assign to Contact" option is used to assign to a preexisting contact.
     
    To save a new contact, try tapping on the scanned business card in Scannable. This should open an edit screen with a "Save Contact" option at the bottom.

    Thanks for letting us know that some of you are still experiencing this issue even after updating to Version 6.1. We believe this is related to encrypted notes that have been edited on the Windows desktop app. We are investigating but could use more examples.
     
    If you are still having an issue with encrypted content on your Mac app, please submit a support ticket (see my signature) and include the following:
    Confirm if any encrypted notes with this issue have been edited on a Windows machine Provide the specific behavior you are seeing when attempting to decrypt the note on your Mac (a screencast would be helpful). Describe the encrypted content, esp. any special formatting (checkboxes, bullets, inserted lines, etc.). If you post your ticket number here we will do our best to expedite your case.

    After emailing the scans from the app, did you recall if you tapped on "Done" or "Share Again"? 
     
    Tapping on "Done" will clear the tray. If there are unsaved scans in the tray, there will be an "Unsaved Scans" warning before continuing. Tapping on "Share Again" will keep the scans in the tray.

    Thanks for your patience while we worked on this. Direct image URLs displaying in the browser are no longer supported on Skitch.     I'm updating this thread as we have identified two separate issues with the iTunes upgrade and want to ensure the most up-to-date information is available here.  Issue 1): You’ve upgraded via iTunes and can see the upgrade in your account when you log in at Evernote.com but the upgrade is not reflected in the iOS application.  Solution: In the iOS app, please make a small edit to your profile name which should trigger the update in the applicaiton. Specific steps for doing this:Tap the gear icon next to your username in top left Tap on “Profile” from the list Tap on the “Full Name” field Make any edit to the name and tap “Done" Tap on “Settings” on the top left and confirm the change is updated under the profile image Tap on “Profile” again and change the name back to the desired name. You should now see the upgrade reflected in the application If you are experiencing this same issue on your Mac app please see this thread: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/86265-upgraded-to-plus-but-mac-client-still-says-evernote-basic Issue 2): You’ve upgraded via iTunes but do not see the upgrade in your account at Evernote.com. 
     Solution: Please submit a support ticket with a copy of your iTunes receipt. Once verified, we will manually upgrade your account. Feel free to post your ticket number here and we will work to expedite your case.

    Hi slamfyre178,
     
    With the box checked, the notification will appear when you are down-syncing data from our servers; the message will always occur when you quit the application and have local unsynced notes. Clicking the sync icon to force any local unsynced notes up to the server will ensure that the message does not appear when quitting the application.

    Try going to Skitch > Preferences > Sync and switch the "Save New Skitch Notes to Evernote" option to "Manual". This should stop the prompts from happening.

    If you have an image-based PDF then Preview will be unable to read the PDF (selectable-text PDFs should be searchable in Preview, however).

    I believe this is an issue with full screen mode. Try exiting full screen and you should have access to the full menu again.
