this was possible a couple months ago - I'd been pasting images from the clipboard directly into my notes (in the web browser version of the editor - on both linux and windows). then it stopped working out of the blue. what gives? this was one of the most useful features of evernote!!

Since not all browsers handle copied and pasted images in the same way, we discovered that in some cases (primarily in Chrome on Windows) images that were pasted were not actually saved to the note and instead were linked to the note. This resulted in the loss of the image when the linked file was removed. To prevent this type of loss, the paste functionality was disabled in Evernote Web. This is something we do plan to support again but I currently do not have a timeline for when this will be available. In the meantime, the drag and drop functionality should work correctly so another workaround would be to drag and drop an image onto your desktop (or other location) and then drag and drop it into a note.

  2. Hi brettr2, if you are unable to submit an activity log on the support form, please reply to the auto-confirmation message you receive after submitting the ticket. If you have met your quota in Evernote please include additional details about why you believe the information is not accurate.

To send an activity log, try to reproduce the problem, sync your app, then follow these steps:

    1. Open Skitch
    2. Go to Help > Activity Log... from the menu bar
    3. Copy and paste the contents from the log into your reply

The activity log contains a detailed log of steps that Evernote performs and is helpful for diagnosing the problem you may be experiencing. The activity log also contains information about your account, your device, and your location information (if enabled). The titles of your notes, tags, notebooks, attached files, and, if your account was having network syncing errors, some of your note content, may also be contained in the activity log. You may edit the log file to remove anything you do not want to send us. We treat activity log data as confidential information, and the terms of our [Privacy Policy] (http://evernote.com/privacy/) apply.

  3. Thanks for reporting this. We are looking into the issue. If you are experiencing this issue please submit a support ticket (see the link in my signature). Be sure to select the option "Report a bug" from the menu choices on the submission form.

The following information would also be helpful to include in your submission:

    1. A brief summary of your issue
    2. An activity log from Skitch
    3. A screenshot showing your allowance has been met in Skitch but not in Evernote
    4. The email address associated with your Evernote account
    5. A link to this forum thread

Once you've submitted, please post your ticket number here.
