  1. ^⌥⌘T does not bring up the Edit tag... Window (pop-up) I can bring it up by dropping the notes ••• "More actions" menu or menu > Notes, but there needs to be a working quick key. I also wish the Edit tag window was truly a Tag editor window. Currently, this pop-up window only allows Add, remove, & create tags. But Evernote needs this to be a Global Tag editor window which additionally allows Rename, Move, Merge (combine), Select (multiple tags highlighted for editing) for Batch Editing (the ability to Move, Merge, and Rename a group of tags --- is a very needed function for Evernote), This posts is recommending the Edit tag ... window be a globally accessed Tag editor pop-up. (Not to be confused with a window accessed by the left side Tag icon as my Oct 15 post references. I've posted details here: Oct 14 "Select Multiple Tags - Tag Editing" also some further details contained in Oct 15 "Tag Window Preferred". This Oct 15 post references the Window accessed by the left side Tag Icon and not the Global Tag editor discussed above. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ^⌥⌘C seems to also do nothing. Though I'm uncertain the expected result. I thought it would copy the internal link, which I assumed was the URL field of the Note Info. If that is not what it does, please correct me. If that is what it is supposed to do, make it so. .
  2. Barry's 10.1.4 post & the update reveals no coming change for tags. EV needs a Tag Window that allows for comprehensive Tag Editing. I'd love to hear that a better Tag editing system is being given serious attention. Better yet, I'd enjoy knowing it is tasked for a coming update. Step 1 Return to a tag window with functions as it was in 7.14. Step 2 Merge multiple tags Move multiple tags Rename multiple tags Step 2 Section 2 Add these tag editing functions in the Tag pop-up menu accessed through a notes Tag-bar at the bottom of a note. IMPORTANT: Most all new tags are created in the Notes Tag-bar. I use a Tag Hierarchy system. I will have to go to the Tag-tab in order to "Move" this new tag. Thus all 10 of the newly Add +Tags with people's names from the Boston 2020 meeting will have to be "Move tag..." one at a time from the Tag-Tab. This is just painful. I create unnecessary tags due to the lack of a full listing of all tags containing the search characters. Example: Type - " wri " Get = write, writing, written criticism. The pop-up List is missing the existing tag = Hemingway writing. I create unnecessary tag ie = Writing Hemingway. [This next part is fiction hoping to become fact] Realizing my error and while still in the notes Tag-bar menu pop-up, I choose "Merge", and the note is now in Hemingway writing and Writing Hemingway is deleted in a few clicks, no window changes. Obviously, I can easily do a similar action from the Tag-bar, but I'd like to do the Merge (Combine) Tag and TAGS from the Tag Window, as part of a comprehensive Tag Editor. Will I soon see any progress this way?
  3. Please make it possible to select more than one tag at a time so that I can take action on the group and not just one tag. (Same with Notebooks) Thus I'd be able to: Move; Delete; Go Top-level; Remove from short-cuts; Create sub-tag in; and Combine; 10 tags in one click. ALSO Merge tags (combine all notes from a tag or group of tags to one target tag) A batch tag Rename editor. EV programming team, you can do this. It is long overdue. A part of a comprehensive tag editing system. Example: 34 tags are named for the participants of the Boston meeting 2020. 28 of them were originally set-up with the word Boston at the start so they'd all be together. [ie "Boston - Mary Adams"] I want to "Move" (stack) all 34 under the tag Boston Meeting 2020 [thus selecting more than one at a time]. I want to Batch Rename 28 of them eliminating "Boston - " from the beginning of the tags name as that's now unnecessary given the Tag Stack their in. A more comprehensive robust tag editing system would allow this. Do you want to encourage a greater appreciation for the new EV 10, over the nay sayers? Give them some things the legacy system will never have. And also give them a fun and proven way to randomly explore the vast note library many of us have. REQUESTING: 1) A Comprehensive Tag Editing system in the Tag window. And also accessed through the Tag bar at the bottom of a note. 2) A Finder style window in the Tag window. Using tags like folders in the finder. Tags that expands to the right, not to bottom. Select a tag from a more left pane and the right expands to all tags nested (stacked, moved) there in. And if at the note level, expands to a pane with all notes sorted by my choice of: Alpha, date, size, ascending and descending. Let me drag and drop, multi selections. Exploring the contents of my Notes via a Tag Window that displays like a Path Finder Folder Explorer window will let me see notes I'd likely never see again otherwise. But, to get the ball rolling, the next EV release must let me select multiple tags. I've over 4,000 and I expect most seasoned EV users have a lot. I've been seeing a request for a comprehensive tag editing system since at least 2015. [Also that release could let me select multiple notebooks, as did 7.14.]
