  1. I suspect he is referring to either snippet or card view, and just didn't have the terminology.
  2. How do you quantify 'a lot'? How does that impact the company? Do you see Evernote as a business or a charity?
  3. On Windows click the Insert in the upper right, where you will find Checkbox listed.
  4. Did no see this when I searched forums so if its a duplicate, sorry. I found under both the Windows client and Web client, when viewing all notebooks and clicking Updated header to sort, it doesn't really sort in chronological order. I don't see the pattern to the sort, so I can't tell what its really sorting by. Is this expected behavior? Am I just not seeing how its sorting? EN Windows V 10.1.4 Build 1880
  5. Came across an article about the new shortcuts. Start assistant and say 'My Shortcuts' This open where these are set.
  6. Did you change any settings? All it does for me is open Evernote. I'm on Samsun S7 / Android 8.0
  7. @DTLow, in windows when we use the CTRL + ; keys we get the date and time inserted in the note where the cursor is position, i.e. 9/25/2020 7:55 AM To try to answer @Mariusz Matusiak question, that seems unlikely as it would require integration with Google Calendar. Its my hope that someday Evernote develops a plug-in system similar to most browsers allowing developers to create tools to enhance Evernote. Seeing how the Betas are really just a wrapper for the browser version, I could this this more likely in the future.
  8. @CalS I tested this also and compared to the same website but found the order different. So it appears they are not using the standard ASCII table for the sort of the tags.
  9. @ObviousBob thats interesting. I confirmed V10 is running under Chrome and Edge, and Firefox
  10. I did find a couple of items. Tag sort by count has been fixed The find in note option seems to be missing. Noticed notes created after Aug 14th that had been missing, now appear There is a new option in the notebooks menu, that maybe I never noticed, called Group Notes. It groups then by month. However I don't see a way to un-group them.
  11. I think I understand. You are looking for a solution to sync notes, without the internet.
  12. What are the benefits or advantage of this proposal?
  13. I think you hit a significant point, @DTLow, people are expecting Evernote to be a word processor, and they forget the fact ,it is for taking notes. I don't print from Evernote sinply because that is not its strong feature, and was never designed to be. That's like walking into the local quick mart and expecting to find a butcher.
  14. It appears you used he checklist option to insert. You want to use the checkbox. The checkbox can be centered.
  15. So I was playing with the filters and noticed one that seemed intriguing. There is the option to filter for notes that contain dates and email addresses. I couldn't find any info about these filters, and was wondering if anyone had more info, such as what formats it looks for. I figured out you can just type contains:date in the search box to do the search also. This could be useful since I store lots of receipts. But one thing that would be really useful is a highlight of the found content.
  16. That feature was recently added as of 6.16. Look at the icons on the lower part and you will see the bell symbol.
  17. To update my last post, its a Chrome issue. I loaded the 6.17 in Edge and its correctly showing all notes. Chrome seems to be causing a few issues under the new version, including creating new notes. Under Edge I also noticed a new feature in 6.17, the New Note drop down appears to have templates in them, but I don't see how to update it to use my preferred templates.
  18. Something else I noticed with 6.17. I had both the web version and desktop version up and was looking at my inbox when I noticed they did not match. Several notes available in the desktop version I had recently added, did not show up in the web version. I switched to the previous version in the web, and those notes appear. Switch to the new version and they did not appear again. Annoying.
  19. When I attempted to sort my tags by count (Most to Least), it appears to have done it by Alphabetical, unless I'm turning dyslexic?
  20. Well I noticed two things, or my cache has been stale and this didn't appear before so someone can call me unobservant. Reminders now have their own list. And Find/Replace is an option. The Find/Replaced is in the ellipse menu called Find within note...
  21. The only other place to find it is in the browser version through extensions
  22. I don't remember if it was an option in the Windows Desktop version, but its still in settings for Android
  23. I think the use of the word destiny is strong language. It implies a singular result from inception to infinity. Any true system will evolve or change over time to fit the needs of the environment, or in this case its users over time. The only constant is change. To your points... tag suggestion system is a touchy area. There are millions of users with their own work flows and styles. Any suggestion system implemented may work for a few, but then generate complaints it doesn't work for everyone else. I don't see any issue with changing the date created on the desktop apps, perhaps more explanation can be provided? capturing the creation date could only support one source, that would be the file creation date from the system OS. Doable, I could see this as a feature. What constitutes a duplicate? Your definition of a duplicate can easily be different from another user. Your use of Evernote is different then others. You use it as a document storage and retrieval system.Others user it for notes. And others use it for task management. In all, these are the functions users have designed into Evernote for their needs. Evernote is a framework, and you build on that frame work. One of the problems with trying to implement features to please everyone is running into the Microsoft syndrome. Microsoft tried to implement features in their office products to try to please everyone. But it became to bloated, it developed a reputation for being slow, clunky, and bug ridden. Microsoft has turned that around. Evernote can't fall for the same trap. Honestly its sounds like you need a dedicated document management system you can customize.
