  1. I could do longer videos, but who has the patience ? Thanks for your feedback, my voice is pretty poor in narration, hence i preferred this...
  2. Id guess that's logical since the structure of Evernote at its core is the note... So if u merge the notes, it's now a single note. The idea of multiple Backlinks now won't exist...
  3. I am from India, and am an Evernote expert. The pricing is in Indian Rupees, i dont see whats the problem here, although, i am not sure if the 40 percent discount will go through, as the rupee is already subsidised [ Professional @ 5200 rupees a year is around 62 dollars] , and thats meant for dollar pricing. You should be able to go with this amount 3999 a year personal, or 5200 for professional. Good luck if the 40 percent works with INR as well. https://evernote.com/compare-plans
  4. Learn some of the powerful features of Evernote, and build a streamlined workflow using some of Evernote 10's features, which include Tags, "Filtered Notes", "Saved Searches", "Shortcuts" and "Quick Access - Keyboard shortcuts" . P.S - Some users of r/EvernotePositive mentioned that the "Filtered Notes" Widget was broken on Mobile, this workflow can serve as an alternative work-around. Good luck, if you like this video, Like, Share and Subscribe. More tips : r/EvernotePositive
  5. Using Evernote's classical [internal note links] and the new [backlink], [preview note mode] and [ updated renaming of backlinked notes] feature in 10.x, build your own Study/Research dashboard If you like the video, share, like and subscribe to Reddit - r/EvernotePositive
  6. Evernote's A.I. Powered Search works amazingly for "English" based content, found in your Evernote account. But, can you make use of the feature, for regional languages like "Tamil" or "Malayalam" as well? You can atleast in some cases, by using some work-arounds [ for now] 😍
  7. Evernote's latest "A.I.Powered Search feature is amazing, to help "find specific notes", or to generate quick, short and concise answers, to specific questions", from information, within your own Evernote account? This is possible because Evernote can index and find content inside text, images and pdf's, within a user's account. But, can the same principles be used externally, for [video] content in YouTube?
  8. I understand your frustration, but so is this frustrating for those obsessed with 'legacy', a service that may have had an amazing past, but with no future, And by continuing to obsess with 'legacy', you guys are seriously blocking the faster progress of 10.x, which is clearly the future, ahead
  9. Long time users of legacy well know that the company went into a financial mess and was purchased... Legacy was started at a different time period. Today in 2023, it makes no sense to no longer support multiple code bases , keep on adding tech debt to a point of no return , and long obsolete libraries. The best case scenario for legacy would have been that it was only kept supported to keep working, with no functional improvements at all ... If that's the case , the app is as good , as dead anyways ... 10.x isnt perfect . At many points like the 'notifications' panel', 'seamless sharing ' with WC integration etc , it's definitely better. But 10.x has equally improved and has become way way snappier, and it continues to keep adding features, and is positioned to take on the likes of the newer gen apps , going ahead. Legacy would not stand a chance..come back , download 10.x and give it a try for a week, maybe you'll change your mind .
  10. Alternatively, The editor in "Legacy" was nothing short of a joke [ I am talking the unified "Evernote experience, and not just one platform, as its a cloud platform]. Tables was a mess in Android. There was literally no scope for further improvement of any sort, leave alone envisioning stuff like RTE and Tasks or AI . Both "Legacy" and "10.x" have their strengths and weaknesses. Its not fair to "belittle" or "pit one against the other", but in current circumstances, clearly, EN has only choce to go 10.x
  11. How practical is this? How many features which were there in legacy, were dropped in legacy itself? Atlas comes to mind. How many features of Evernote 7 for ios, were dropped for Evernote 8 for Ios? Please look up. We are not talkng now, but maybe 7 to 8 years ago. Simple, because OS's dev tools were growing at their own speeds and many libraries which EN was using from other sources were getting obsolete. EN had to work hard just to keep them running, inspire of adding tech debt all the time. Was there practically any meaningful feature update since 2016? None. A few 'color codes' and 'templates' maybe. That's all. Why? Because of multiple code bases. As per the old dB, Mac had 'tabs', 'descriptive search' etc which Windows doesn't have, and mobile doesn't have 'table editing' or 'Tag management support', which 'desktop' has. And the web client of legacy was one big mess. The mess goes on. So how does EN go about it? Make the windows user happy? Or the mac user? Or the android user? Or the tablet user? It's impossible to keep every legacy user happy, and let's face it, legacy won't last long, and even those that adapt to V10.x, have to make some compromises to their work flow.
  12. It was a conscious design effort, as it retains the formatting by the original website. So, that the clipper wouldnt break the formatting. I think it makes some sense as all websites are not built by the same underlying technology. A section of users , would prefer the retaining "of the original formatting". If you need to edit, its just a "single tap" away.
  13. I believe this was a conscious decision, to retain the formatting of the original webpage clip. Off course if you need to add annotations and highlights, you can always break the "formatting" and get a effect similar to Legacy.
  14. V10 works, almost quite well for most users. The most common fix is uninstall your client, install the latest code, and re-allow your machine to sync. Its likely the problem will fix. If your a paid user and still have a specific use case problem, send your logs to customer support. They'll try and fix it for you, and make the product even better. If your a free user, tough luck. All this will work, only if you have the primary intent to accept the reality that you want to use Evernote for the long term, and give V10 a try. If your going to start with a prejudice (anyone who does so), and keep voting in favour of Legacy [ we all love Legacy], you will never get to over come the work around with V10. The old days of developing indvidual code bases - platform specific and then making them communicate with each other, is not only a night mare and is no longer financially feasible. This is the way forward, and is the reality.
  15. Legacy is only a matter of time. Either, people make the choice to move to Version 10, or find more suitable alternatives. Thats the harsh reality, going forward.
  16. You have 2GB. I have 55 GB. Good luck to long term power users. For all its flaws that Evernote has and needs to be acknowledged, how perfect are the alternatives?
  17. Is there some process which can auto update large databases in the background? 12-13 year accounts like us have 23,000+ Notes, data running over 55GB in datasize. So, it means that it may take years, before some random old note will get to be opened. So, not only do you need to keep this converter open, but it also is not very efficient. A background scan of a windows machine when running idle, can handle the note-conversion process, speeding up future note openings.
  18. Can you tell us why is there a "sync" button in the V10 mobile clients [hidden inside] Vs there not being one in the Windows client? If we are going to go for "real time editing", having a "sync" in mobile makes no sense? The only reason i can think of in mobile, is battery life. If thats the case then, will the "always on" sync feature on mobile, be a "battery-hog" can you tell us this difference please?
  19. The idea of "Notebooks" is very much similar to "Folders" in Windows. And the "Note" kind of represents a particular file. It does take a while, to understand and work-around the idea of the limited "Stacks-> Notebook -> Note structure". This is where the powerful idea of "tags and infinite nestd tags comes in" for more and better organization and "info-retrieval" in Evernote. @Federico Simionato my humble request, irrespective of any changes that may be brought into "Note" level organization. i request you, not to deprecate the "functional role" of "Tags". Tags also always needs to have "king level" support in Evernote. "Sync" and performance has improved immensely on Mobile. Desktop could still do a bit better.
  20. The "forum" is primarily designed to be only a "web only" experience, or will render as a html website. The "Evernote Service" however is cross-platform and has to support multiple platforms, so, its not feasible to support too many fonts, cross-platform. Having said that, as the Editor is a unique engine in itself, i believe that Evernote will, and i hope, add support for more fonts in future.
  21. I think its a rather 'valid use case' to bring back, in Version 10.x
  22. @Federico Simionato Check The perspectives for legacy - https://www.evernote.com/shard/s333/client/snv?isnewsnv=true&noteGuid=85f05ab8-3a6e-4d89-8620-2a801cc3cff9&noteKey=da2afbc47afb5261003943a8631af329&sn=https://www.evernote.com/shard/s333/sh/85f05ab8-3a6e-4d89-8620-2a801cc3cff9/da2afbc47afb5261003943a8631af329&title=EN10%2B-%2Bmissing%2Bfeatures%2B%28from%2Bbeloved%2BLegacy%29 Interestingly, i had a bird's eye view of your view points. I would say that a lot of them, are based on perspective. I am happy you created such a detailed list, expressing your views in support of Legacy, while i have been doing some documentation on the other side, arguing that Ver10.x was the way to go [ and i am actually happy with the implemenattion of the new check lists ] Thanks @AlbertR
  23. The idea of 'Legacy' Vs 'Windows 10' stems from the idea of 'local notebooks'. Legacy was started in 2000+. The idea of 'cloud', 'mobile' or 'collaboration', or 'always online' just didnt exist. It was started just as a client like standalone MS Office. Thats where you get the idea of having 'local notebooks' [ which was the main feature when it started], but later 'local notebooks' became a side feature, as 'Evernote embraced the cloud. But in 2019-20, when 'cloud', 'mobile', 'collab', 'always online', 'powerful mobile clients', 'powerful virtual devices' exist, i dont think the idea of 'local notebooks' even makes sense, when your going to have almost all data online. And if you still need 'offline notebooks', just create one in your local machine and use MS word. Thats the best option you have.
  24. I recall 'Windows Legacy' of having a select limit of upto 50 notes. Maybe, i am wrong.
