  1. No, but did literally everything else on the market... I have a lot of checkboxes to pick a notes app. But I'll look at it.
  2. Resizing an image is unquestionably not an image editor type of thing. If you think that, then I don't think you understand the purpose of Evernote and what the intent of my/our needs are. I need to put an image in, of whatever size, and be able to not have it take up my entire view. I don't actually want to resize the image resolution, I want to scale it so it's smaller.
  3. It's stupid this has to be suggested. Seriously guys... we support calendars, just not the one used by everyone on apple products.
  4. This is the number #1 reason I'm searching for a different note taking app at this point. I love Evernote, tasks are awesome, and the features work really well together. But I have a lot of notes across a wide range of topics, and as a one stop shop for web clipping and other things, it's missing stuff. However the one that is causing me pain is this inability to manage a collection of notes more than one level deep. Make it a paid feature, whatever, I'm a paid member, but this needs to be there... you know, like templates and resizing images needed to be for many years.
  5. The web option is not a bad idea. After reviewing literally every notes app on the market, the only two I would call viable are evernote and apple notes. I like the evernotes features, but the cpu is an issue, and the calendar feature is completely broken and useless. It doesn't even make calendar entries and only connects to google calendar. However as a work around, the web at times and desktop app at others can work (like during my planning / review times). Thanks.
  6. Yes, and that's the reason I avoid chrome as long as I could. And yes heat the planet is right... can't keep this macbook on my lap to be sure. However - this is their problem, not mine. So I get the why, but why should any user care? I want it stop, and it doesn't work for me at all. Even Chrome doesn't burn CPU like this does. In the end, if this is going to be how evernote just "works", this plus other issues are a deal killer for me, free or otherwise. My work just isn't conducive to poor resource management. I do a lot of xcode work and Final Cut Pro. I need as much CPU as I can get... without heat. lol
  7. This issue was reported almost a year ago. CPU usage is high all the time and off the charts sometimes well over 100%. Latest i9 macbook and OSX. Is this going to be fixed or do I just go find another notes app? Why the hell does a notes taking app use more CPU to render than xcode? Every time I try to switch to evernote there's some weird issue. First it was no templates and image resizing (long while back), and now is CPU usage. I cannot have this level of CPU usage in my day to day.
  8. I say this with regret, so don't misunderstand... I'm done with evernote. Features like reminders I couldn't care less about. I had those on mac and on windows. Missing features like: Format PainterBasic image editingAbility to quickly jot something down without finding a place for it firstOrganized Notebooks that make sense ... i.e. can create a notebook in another notebook without having to drag it in I like evernote, but there are such glaring deficiencies that other tools do a better job. The only reason I'm writing this is in hopes at some point in the future it will improve... I've looked at everything on the market, and I'm literally switching today to Apple Notes and Google Docs (documents) as a replacement option. Good luck guys.
  9. While this is very useful to edit images, a general resize IMO is a standard feature. Evernote without this feature, since I've posted my forum comment, has grown on me, and I'm now moving all my google docs to it. It's the best option I could find between google docs, Apple iCloud/Pages, etc. Awesome app. It's like a personal managed wiki that works everywhere. Brilliant.
  10. This single missing feature just made evernote a waste of time for me to even review, and more to the point, they just lost any chance of a paid upgrade with me. Evernote is all over iOS and Mac, and you're telling me they think letting users resize an image they import is a waste of dev time? Well by all means, just remove image import all the way around then. Look, I haven't seen a software package of any substantial backing that would let you import images and then not resize/manipulate them. Even free products like Google Docs does this... makes me sad.
