  1. I now have the new mobile screen and ... I surprisingly like it. Clipboard is back and easy access to shortcuts has been added. Those were my main complaints earlier. Notes, Shortcuts, Tasks, and Calendar are all one click away, which I'm fine with. Interestingly, files load much quicker than on the desktop app which I don't understand.

  2. Sounds like you may be experiencing the new experimental(?) "home screen." You can get at your real one by finding widgets on the hamburger menu, I think. Personally, I don't mind a cheery hello anywhere I can get it. But that feature does seem to wind a lot of people up.

  3. This is very useful information, as my subscription is about to renew and I need to decide between continuing Professional or dropping to Personal. I'm feeling more Personal all the time.

  4. @Paul A. I'm using Windows 10 and Evernote Desktop Version 10.85.4. I followed your steps here and when trying to open the pdf it shows a message asking to select an application to open the file. I selected the PDF reader I use and then it opened normally.

  5. After I uninstalled Evernote using appCleaner and re-installed it, the problem disappeared. The window showing about 15.000 files opened within a few seconds.

  6. I like the idea. But... does not work for me, on Windows 10.85.4 46 000 notes. I logged off and on. The spinning wheel is spinning, and spinning, and spinning...

  8. I recently updated my support request on this, and after some song-and-dance about sending in information I'd already sent long ago, they said, "Rest assured, your concern has been noted and reported to our developers. While we may not have an immediate solution at hand, please know that we're working hard to prevent any such issues from arising in the future. Enhancing the user experience of Evernote remains a top priority for us." This is boilerplate, of course, but at least it implies that they are actually working on it.

  9. sometimes it seems to me, that the developers don't use the app themselves - otherwise they would react in other ways ...

  10. I really appreciated your updates. It saved me time checking each update if my work flow hindering bugs were solved or not. The clear per new version update was clear for me, not a double post in my eyes and helpful. A seperate thread for each bug was also a wonderful idea as far as I am concerned. Thx for that. I'd be sad if you stopped with that. ❤️🌹

  11. I have tried Amplenote - but it's not my thing either. Tasks-system is too complicated (for "tasks in notes"), and print/pdf-export is even worse than in Evernote. But maybe i just need to test it further. At the moment i'm splitting my notes/projects/task to different places (Onenote, TickTick, Google Drive, Google tasks, etc...) I have active projects and notes in Evernote - but unless it's absolutely necessary (for existing projects) i don't put anything new in there. All new stuff goes somewhere else.

  12. Same thing was said with the v10 rewrite. I was part of the pre-release beta testing of the Android app (before anyone got it publicly), and I reported an annoying bug that's still not fixed almost three and a half years later! So forgive some of us might be a little out of patience with some of these Evernote bugs.

  13. Looks I will have to do that. In the meantime, looks like EN CS started replying to opened tickets.
