Hi there everyone, thanks for mentioning this. Here are the details about the updates containing the fix for YouTube pages not loading Clipper depending on your browser of choice: If you prefer Chrome or Edge, the updated version containing the fix is If you prefer Safari, the updated version containing the fix is The version number is different from Chrome and Edge, but functionally the same release. If you prefer Firefox, this is currently still on and does not contain the fix yet. Additional unrelated changes are necessary for Firefox and we're working on getting this updated and released as soon as possible, but no estimate at this time. If you use Firefox and need to clip a YouTube page, while not ideal, please use another browser in the meantime to work around the issue. Thank you!

Hi All, Today we’re following up Ian’s latest blog post with an update to our Behind the Scenes series where we go into greater detail about the work being done to move our rebuilt apps from Preview status to Beta release. We knew this video would be different—for one thing, we had to shoot and edit it from our homes as we continue to deal with COVID-19 pandemic. What we could not know was that in the days leading up to recording, long-simmering issues of systemic racism would come to the forefront of our social conscious, eclipsing even COVID-19 as matters of urgency and action. We chose to hold on to this video until we could publicly acknowledge the realities of the world around us. We're pleased to be able to share it with you now—it’s a valuable conversation if you want to know how we’re progressing with the new clients. And finally, one tidbit of good news: in the days since we recorded the video, our new iOS app has moved out of Preview and into Beta release. Enjoy! If you have any questions/feedback, please feel free to start a thread or reach out to me directly!

I'm on FF 78.0.2 on Windows 7. I just tried logging out of Evernote and back in, and it went smoothly. Did you try clearing cache and/or cookies?

I've said this before. In the times when every cloud provider has indexed search and image OCR, and there's plenty of standalone apps like DocFetcher for those concerned with privacy, using a dedicated, proprietary wrapper for your data (be it Evernote, Onenote, Joplin etc.) does not make sense… at least to me. 90% of my data is in file folders on Onedrive (only using it because I am paying for Office365). 5% of the data I consider sensitive is in an encrypted volume with its own encrypted search index. The remaining 5% are short-term notes - and here's where programs like Evernote or Onenote come in handy. With generous use of plaintext tags, and common file formats (docx, xlsx, pdf) I can get most of functionality of Evernote (some is missing, some is gained) without ever having to worry about losing access, losing service, moving to another service, backups, sharing with others, encryption, compatibility, etc. Evernote / Onenote / whatever are great for capturing data and maintaining "live" notes, but for long term storage, it is exported into an indexed online folder as a common file type.

Just checked it on my iPhone: In the app I have not found any settings to set a standard "from" e-mail address. When scanning and sending the scan by mail, scannable seems to use the standard Apple mail app. It used (if by accident or by default I do not know) the first mail account in my account settings. I changed this account by the selection wheel, send the mail, and made another scan. It returned to the first mail account in the Apple mail apps account settings. So maybe there is an old mail account still in the settings on the iPhone. It may as well be that the mail address is taken from the EN account (where I happen to have the same one as the first in my mails settings). Then it probably needs to be changed there.

Hi, the page is blank forever also because clicking on the 'Continue' button is only going to show the password field using some javascript after an ajax request to check the sign-in settings of the users, it doesn't load a new page. Anyhow thanks for your suggested workarounds, at the moment I'm just enabling the developer toolbar of firefox so the problem disappears (note: the login page loading is sudden as before I have had this problem)

Hi. The installed app is not connected to Scannable - better to reinstall the Scannable app. Don't know whether that would work. If not, and you don't have any history stored in the app, you could also try creating a new Scannable account...if that's possible: I'm not an iPhone or a Scannable user!

Ah... yeah that's what I've been doing thus far, but it's a bit cumbersome. Oh well. Thanks much for your response!

In fact Business is no upgrade for a person. To use Business, you need a group of persons (not necessarily employees of a Business), an admin to set it up and maintain - and a use case for it. Business means setting up compartments for information access, and some information flow, like in an order process. In general all processes a small or medium company runs can be projected on a Business setup. With Premium you are already in the personal not-upgradable class 😀

I also got this error message today - just a modal popup that occured on Evernote for desktop, saying that the device limit had been reached. I was confused -- I thought Evernote had imposed some kind of device limit on premium as well, and the only choice was to upgrade to business. That led me on a 10 minute goose chase which ended here. My evernote seems to be working ok and once I dismissed the popup I was able to work normally.

Seems like sometimes waiting does pay off. Thank you for allowing me to save directly to the camera roll again in Scannable. 😃 I love the app but never understood why you forced me to save to Evernote first, then allow saving to camera roll - sometimes I just wanted to save and email and not have it in Evernote. Thanks for restoring the original functionality - much appreciated!

That's a known problem with note links As you discovered, the links are coded with the note-id of the original note evernote:///view/1156250/s10/ee54e6a3-dd90-4b0f-8196-72b0b6868776/ee54e6a3-dd90-4b0f-8196-72b0b6868776/ but the note-id gets lost when copying/merging/importing I make a practice of appendIng the note-id to note contents. Id: [ee54e6a3-dd90-4b0f-8196-72b0b6868776] This allows me to use text search to resolve broken links

I acknowledge that Evernote's user forum isn't designed to house discussions on racism and privilege, but I also can't be silent about something as important as this. In my opinion, it's lunacy in this day and age that every single company and person hasn't taken a stance against racism and white supremacy. What Ian did in this video is the bare minimum that anybody with a voice should be doing right now. Additionally, I am assuming that your intention behind "couldn't care less what colour or creed someone is" was well-meaning and designed to communicate that someone's race/ethnicity doesn't bother you. However, I want to share that these sentiments often contribute towards systemic racism or—in the very least—the privilege some groups have over others (even though that wasn't your intention, I assume). Not caring (or "not seeing") race/ethnicity is a way of dismissing part of someone's identity, suggesting their experiences aren't valued, refusing to acknowledge your own privilege, and often shutting down further conversations about racial injustice. In most parts of the world—and definitely in the United States, where Evernote is based—systematic racism is rampant; as a result, we must care if we want to move towards a more just and equitable society.

VPN is the only solution. I had the issue logging in on my android device and Windows. Both had no issues once I used a VPN. This seems to be a VIETNAM issue.

I don't think Evernote has any interest in our comments on the beta. Unless I've missed something, they haven't even provided a real forum to collect beta user's input. I've uninstalled it for now since in the current format it's really a step backward.

Does evernote actually reply to any of these. I can't see one official update. At least a heads up. Seems a bit unusual style of customer service. I so need this. Have been writing on screens for 8 years, moved from ipad to windows and have a Samsung Galaxy tab pro. The Windows version of evernote really needs proper writing functionality. It's just a ticket to the game these days and not just a 'nice to have'. Sure this must be on the radar? What are your plans for the android and windows? I have started using Onenote purely because of the writing. Shame.

I surely hope so. There some painful UI changes re productivity that would hit the desktop if it mirrors the new web. No side list, buried menus, more clicks. My capacity for PhraseExpress hotkey remembrance has its limits. Not to mention how slow it is relative to the desktop. Hopefully that's just a server and connectivity issue, not a new language problem. EDIT. Thought I might add an example. Below is a table I maintain to chronicle when I updated to the desktop versions. I set it up on the desktop way back. On the left is how it looks on new web and the on the right is how it looks on current desktop. The width is just enough to display the table and text, but all the vertical is included. In this example the new constructs are a cluster, in my view anyway.

I very much like the video but the majority of the folks over at reddit/r/Evernote/ seem to be impatient and don't understand the delays at all: https://www.reddit.com/r/Evernote/comments/hfd6yv/behind_the_scenes_at_en_at_home/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/Evernote/comments/hdwnfn/video_latest_ceo_product_update/ Evernote might want to address these things in an upcoming video.
