  1. I'm using the tablet sort of as a spare system in a spare room. With a large monitor it's decent and with a BT mouse and keyboard most things are possible. Just not keyboard shortcuts I guess. I put the date/time into notes perhaps a few times a day and at 16 keystrokes each time that adds up. Why over the span of a few years I might waste as much as 2 or three minutes! Seriously though, it's no big deal. I'm using a Logitech K480 BT keyboard (it has a slot to hold tablets) and since it has the regular Windows keys I thought there might be a way to save all that time by using shortcuts. T

  2. IS it possible to highlight text in Evernote Web yet? I'm thinking about switching back to Evernote from Pocket, because search and tagging is so much better, but not being able to highlight important text from saved articles would be a deal breaker. I tried formatting options and couldn't find anything, and the last post about it that i found on these forums is from 2016.

  3. Good evening Evernote, The context feature has stopped working for me on all iOS and macOS devices, as well as on the Web. What’s going on? It’s been more than 2 weeks now. No notice from official Evernote channels, too. Any update? I heavily rely on it, and I’m actually paying for it. It’s included in the Premium plan.

  4. I use preset stylus a lot while using MS word, Markdown tools, or even writing in HTML. Preset styles such as Titles, Headings, Citations, Normal styles are very helpful for making well-organized notes quickly. BUT the current Evernote only provide simple text styling tools like the size or the font, so it is very difficult to have a beautiful and coherent note. Please add Styles feature.

  5. Please, please, please allow us to set a note as plain text only--so that it stays plain text no matter what. Currently, all my notes that I format as plain text are constantly getting various formatting when edited from different platforms and from pasting content on a platform that does not have paste as plain text. I am suggesting a setting for a note that makes it plain text only (could even be a whole notebook). Thus if a note is set to plain text, you would not have to use "Paste As Plain Text" for that note and editing the note from any platform would not add formatting. Think: Window

  10. Highlight the rows in one of the tables (click on the first row then shift+click on the last row) and then drag the rows into the other table.

  11. To show an original page in its correct layout, Evernote has to translate the HTML / Python / Java / CSS - driven web page (which contains any number and any combination of the coding languages I mentioned plus probably a couple hundred more) including any associated pretty pictures (more formats) into a code (EML) that works well with its own database and can be read in displays of various sizes on desktops and mobiles. 'Simplifying' formatting takes away some of the hidden coded features, 'removing' might be a little more adventurous, but still isn't completely removing the extra level of

  12. The request is exactly as stated. You don't need to be an Android dev or guru to make requests, nor does a request need to be something that's used by a large percentage of the user base. It's just a request; guesses/ information relating to sort of stuff is of course fine for other users to add, but ultimately it's up to Evernote to process and prioritize. And it's up to @Salvor to decide whether they want their post to be turned into something that other users can support via post and/or vote..Which is why I asked. Not being an Android developer myself, I can't speak from a position of

  13. Not sure what's to request. KB shortcuts are only possible with special keyboards (onscreen or Bluetooth), which not many users use, or on Chromebooks. Only guessing, but the majority of Android users are likely on phones with no shortcuts available. IAC, the new editor, when it rolls out, might already include this. But what the hey, it's your nickel.

  14. Is there a list of the Web Clipper keyboard shortcuts somewhere other than within the extension itself? Hard to clip them from inside the clipper!

  17. This, this, this! I work in IT and have no real need for Word style formatting. I just want to store plain text notes and have a global font setting so I can change the monospace font and size for all notes, to my current monospace font of choice. This is currently an absolute nightmare. New -> Note New -> Plain Text Note or as others have stated have entire notebooks configured to be plain text.

  18. Ok, this is driving me bonkers. I've got the default font in my desktop client set to sans-serif fonts, and yet whenever I clip an article using my Evernote clipper (for Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100), it renders as a serif font in the desktop program. I can change that manually within the desktop program, but it's time consuming and it should not be so onerous. How can one change the default font for the clipper? This has been going on for six months, and it's really annoying me. Thanks.

  20. I simply want to make an entire notebook plain-text only. I would use this for my coding and technical projects. Having to pick and choose pasting and formatting options each time I cut and paste into a note really slows down my workflows. Thanks!

  21. Sentinel's link to the AppleScript worked great for me on El Capitan! I love how it even got the dates! https://jeremyrnelson.wordpress.com/2014/01/19/importing-apple-notes-into-evernote/ However, there were a few changes I made to the script. I changed the smart quotes to straight quotes. I changed the "set the modification date of myNote to myCreateDate" to "set the modification date of myNote to myModDate". And I found all of the extra tags unnecessary, so I just used the tag "Imported from Notes" Also, Apple Script Editor is now called Script Editor, found in the Utilities folder. Be

  22. I'm guessing you're asking for a calendar grid; annual, monthly, weekly, ... I use the Apple Calendar service and export note data using applescript on my Mac I use this for my daily journal notes; an entry is inserted with a link back to the Evernote note I export my task note data to a spreadsheet for a gantt timeline view The due date is retrieved from the reminder metadata
