Thanks for this report. Please try these steps to fix this issue: Select File > Exit to close Evernote Open the task manager to confirm Evernote is not running as a background process (select "Evernote and End task") Open 'regedit' (Windows key + R, then type regedit) Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder Expand the "Software" folder Expand the Evernote Folder Click on the second "Evernote folder" so that a list of Values displays on the right Right-Click "EnableHardwareAcceleration" Select "Modify" Set Hexidecimal Value to "0" Select File>Exit to exit the Registry Editor Reopen Evernote Please let me know if the issue continues after completing the steps above. Thanks!

Starting from today, when hovering the mouse pointer to the top or bottom edges of the screen the note's text area automatically scrolls up or down accordingly. How to disable this "feature"? It's quite annoying to get your long note scrolled to the bottom when just want to switch to another window on the taskbar. Haven't found any abilities to disable in the settings.

Web interfaces have a born deficiency with shortcuts - they often collide with those for the browser as „nesting ground“ for the web application. Here we talk several possible browsers, which complicates things further. Probably this will be one of the final things when going from beta to release level.

This is an old topic but I recently ran into this myself. I found the solution was to shutdown Evernote and then pop open Terminal and remove the following .plist file in your local Library directory: rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.evernote.ENAttachmentToPDFHelper.plist To be safe you could also drag it to your Desktop first or delete from the Finder. After restarting Evernote, the correct font should now be used in your image annotations. It worked for me with Evernote version 7.14 on MacOS 10.14 anyway. Hoping this helps someone else.

Second that. The new web editor beta (hopefully to arrive on other platforms) is great. "Simplifying" web clips on my Windows Desktop version often leads to problems with images and the like; I started resorting to the Web Editor Beta for most of that work. The clear indication of what is HTML content, and much better results in converting that to editable (simplified) content are far superior. Also, the editor allows for some features like multiple highlight colors (although the yellow for whatever reason is not the yellow of the desktop, but an uglier variant --- at least in my view), better formatting (headers, and correct representation of those, as opposed to the broken spacing on the desktop editor), etc. Bit shout-out to the creators of this web editor. After many years as premium user and on the verge of jumping ship, I've become more enthusiastic about the recent improvements and the roadmap.

For sure. Down side to the search it is not notebook specific, though I suppose it could be with notebook drop down selecting post shortcut. As usual, downside to throwing out ideas re a concept I don't really use. Oops. 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for this MOST HELPFUL tip. In another thread, I had mentioned the issues with clipping and formatting. Most of the time I use the desktop app; rarely do I ever pull up a note in a browser. I'll try to "fix" some of my notes online now. This is better advice than the person who replied. There was cumbersome advice that required copying and pasting into notepad then to EN or to print to PDF first (which is always my last option). He said I and others not happy with the way EN clips web pages should look elsewhere if we were not happy with the way EN "works"...

Thanx for working so hard on it. As of right now I am still facing this issue in Mozilla Firefox, on a windows 10 computer. I'd like to stay updated on the progress.

Hello All, What do Evernote and a wedding reception have in common? Watch the video to find out! In this installment of Behind the Scenes, CEO Ian Small chats with Amir, a senior member of our engineering management team, about the work they’re doing to transfer over 9 billion notes to a faster, more scalable cloud storage architecture.Ian and Amir discuss the benefits of this new architecture, and the challenge of (as Amir says) “trying to refuel a plane while it’s in flight.”

+1 this is very annoying behavior, especially since it's a new "default behavior" that I cannot disable. this does not happen if I use Tusk (which is a electron app so it's odd this is different behavior than a web client) Version: 0.23.0 Electron: 4.2.2 Chrome: 69.0.3497.128 Node: 10.11.0 V8: 6.9.427.31-electron.0 OS: Linux x64 5.3.0-26-generic

I work construction and design and out in field all the time sketching and making notes. Really would.like ability to pick Grid, Engineering or Ruled(ability to pick line heights). The grid used to be an option, bring back. I was told by Customer Service this was the only way to get this option was to get Penultimate which is for Apple only.

Hi, I remember that, some years ago, there was an option for choose paper with lines and paper with squares, but now this option is no longer available. To write algebraic calculations it is more convenient use paper with squares. Any idea? Luigi

Hi. Using Evernote for like 2 months. Loved everything so far. But I have 2 feature requests : One is already present here, that is, sort table contents alphabetically Second is to add a 'Hybrid Note' By Hybrid Note, I mean we can type texts as well as draw, write just like we can do in ink notes, in one type of 'Hybrid Notes' only. So, when I create a hybrid note, we can both type there as well as draw there, just like we can type in normal notes & we can draw in ink notes. Also, add a feature to convert a normal note into hybrid note, so that we can convert our existing normal notes into hybrid one and then we can draw in them. Just because of this missing feature, many users, including me, are swinging between Evernote & OneNote, because in OneNote, we can both type & draw in one note. If you add this feature, lots of people actually then just completely switch to Evernote, including me. Thanks!

Thanks for the confirmation. For anyone else needing this fix, we've now exposed this in the options menu. You can also use these steps to fix the black panel issue: Select: Tools > Options > General Disable "Enable Hardware Acceleration"

I suppose we're not. If there are real 2nd class citizens here, that would be the Linux folks. haha But we're paying (at least I was, formerly) the same amount as Mac users. And we're here left to hang yet again. For something that's been requested for at least 5 years now you'd think they'd have plenty of time to release dark mode for everyone. Instead they keep on pushing these features that would make evernote a powerpoint competitor instead of a note-taking program. Take it as you will. And I have a sense of perspective in this and that's within the Evernote environment. I don't need to look around the world to feel like the company doesn't value me as much as other users. What do you call someone who pays (again, formerly) the same amount for the same thing and gets less than everyone else? Where are the timelines? Even a vague promise? A shot-in-the-dark date that says "we'll release dark mode on Windows in 2020 or something"? I'm sure there's a lot of work involved in it but a dark mode isn't exactly cutting edge technology that needs years to develop. They obviously have priorities and I know people want to think we're all equal here but that's not how I'm feeling it. I'm glad you're contented with how Evernote is taking care of you but I'm not. And I'm sure I'm not alone with this. But yeah, I AM making this sound so grave so sorry for that. It's just a dark mode after all. Dark mode was just a nice-to-have feature for such a long time and now that it's come and there are no indications that it will come to Windows too, coupled with the fact that Evernote closed that other thread just like that, it gets frustrating.

This needs to happen for Windows users. Great that Dark Theme is out for Android, iOS, OSX, but still missing for Windows. Evernote is the ONLY app in my workflow that doesn't support dark mode in Windows. A lot of the "duplicate threads" also requesting this seem to now be deleted. Please make this happen.

This isn't just a night owls/dark room thing. I regularly prefer non-white backgrounds while working during the day in a regularly lit room. Evernote offers so much; but not so much as one alternate theme? SERIOUSLY? Please implement this ASAP. It can't possibly be much work in the scheme of things.
