  1. "YOUR" single dev? Now, now, tsk tsk, let's not resort to that type of dialogue But seriously, you bring up an excellent point of course. I seem to recall that this is almost the single most asked question in this very forum... "what if Evernote goes belly up?" And as a regular, you also know the answer that is INVARIABLY given (and I paraphrase) "that is a non issue, because the data is portable". With Joplin, your data is equally exportable. Even then, I could choose not to move away and continue with the current version. The app is mine and even if the developer packs it in, no one will uninstall it from my computer. It just wouldn't be updated - unless (worst case) I fork the Github project and learn the ins and outs myself. Best case, someone who is a skilled programmer would pick up the pieces and further develop the product. The data is mine. Again, the developer disappearing won't make my notes vanish. They're still there - offline on my PC, offline on my Android AND online in Dropbox (encrypted). The only guarantee we DON'T have is further updates from that developer who won the lottery, but then again, we don't have the guarantee that Evernote will continue to develop either. If I were to be facetious, I could bring up the fact that Evernote has seemingly been stagnant for years (I still hate the editor), almost the opposite of innovation. Still, it's arguments like these that make folk think and decide what is best for them. As you may recall, it's the very reason that I instantly dismissed Zoho because my notes are NOT portable, nor offline. So thank you for bringing it up and forcing me to think

  2. After upgrading from the Windows client from 6.22.2 to 6.22.3, reminder list becomes unusable because it is jumping around. Steps to reproduce: Go to "All Notes" and expand "Reminders Tab" Click on a reminder Expected: The note list stay in the view. (I can select another reminder easily) Actual: The note list panel jumps to the selected note. The "Reminders Tab" becomes invisible. (I need to scroll back to the top to select another reminder) Version: Win 6.22.3.8816 (308816) Public (CE Build ce-62.6.10954)

  3. Hi, I have web-clipper extension installed in my Chrome Dev browser. It used to work perfect, but not today. I've tried to clip several different online articles by clicking on evernote's chrome extension icon (the green elephant), but what it does all the time is executing the "Login to Evernote" option from the right-click menu. Since I'm already logged in, it shows a pop-up window saying that login was successful (first pic). After the pop-up window is gone, it shows a new one about evernote cookies (second pic). I updated Chrome Dev, uninstalled and reinstalled Web Clipper but to avail. It used to work perfectly with Chrome Dev until today. What should I do to make it work again? Edit: I manage to fix the problem by uninstalling and re-installing Chrome Dev. Apparently, it was an issue of Chrome Dev, not Web Clipper.

  5. They are working on feature parity so maybe this is something that will show up eventually. In the meantime, get chummy with someone with a Mac or Windows system. 😀

  6. The above shows you how to create a link in Evernote, it doesn't show you how to create the actual clickable link, other than knowing the syntax for the text. To create an actual clickable link, you need to have the downloaded version of Evernote, not the AppStore versions (sandboxing issues). Select the file you want to link and then drag it into a web browser url area - Firefox works consistently for me. Copy that text and paste it into the dialog box above, this will create a clickable link that opens the file (or folder) that is in the path.

  7. Oh they are definitely not alone with this issue. I still had it up until I gave up on Evernote and migrated over to Apple Notes several months go. But that doesn't excuse @Stinos01 from being a complete DBAG and filling up my inbox with that *****.

  8. But the most forward-looking issue on windows is the implementation of dark-mode according to the forums.

  9. Evernote! You seriously need to add dark mode to windows. I as a costumer who happens to prefer the windows OS, feel unappreciated and overlooked especially, since dark mode is available on every other major OS.

  10. I have not seen any improvement on this issue on my MBP. It is getting totally ridiculous that this bug cannot be fixed. It does motivate me to seriously consider either Bear or Apple Notes.

  11. Well I've got this "EvernoteSpotlight quit unexpectedly" problem back AGAIN. Third time since July that I'll have to delete and reinstall Evernote to fix it. I've recently moved over to Apple Notes, finally giving up on Evernote Premium after eleven years. Only keeping Evernote as an archive now.

  13. We just started rolling out a new web client editor that will have some of these changes. Most of the work is under the hood and you won’t notice it, but we are introducing a few nifty shortcuts with this release: ``` to start a code block * to start a bulleted list 1. to start a numbered list [] to create a checkbox [][][]X# + RETURN to create a table e.g. [][][][]X4 followed by RETURN would create a four by four table Plus all kinds of emoji, from :ghost: to :pizza: Full post here:

  15. Hi Earlier this year there were some security concerns about linking to files outside Evernote - https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/17516-request-folder-and-file-linking-alias Given the security concerns, the fact that this is a specific request that would not benefit a majority of users, though it could require significant development resource, and Evernote's normal reticence about sharing any development plans or delivery dates, no-one can say whether or when EN might introduce a feature that provided more 'linkability'. I can see the benefits though, and your suggested will be noted by EN staffers, so who knows?......
