I just changed the auto sync from 5min to 15min, and the search delay to 0 seconds... thanks for these tips. I'll see how EN behaves now, and if this works to stop freezing, I'll report back here

Feature Request: Add Outlining Capabilities to Evernote Evernote is great, but it's dying for the ability to create Notes that contain Outlines which are easily collapsed and expanded during creation and in use. One way to implement it would be a switchable editing mode, between standard formatting or outline mode. In outline mode, pressing the Enter key creates a new outline item, and pressing the Tab key changes the current item into a sub-item. Clicking on an item's action icon causes its sub-items to collapse out of, or expand into view. That's the way the Ecco Pro PIM did it, and something simple like that would be a good start for Evernote. The name Evernote implies a product that takes notes -and collapsible/expandable outlines are a huge part of note taking.

So far, you can only link one note to another. But you can't: Link one section of a note to another section of a note Link one section of a note to a section of another note EXAMPLE: Literally any wikipedia (<-- random example) page. After the intro description, there is a 'contents' box that links to itself later in a document. You can also click to links of sections of other pages on the site. OneNote already has this feature. I find OneNote awful BUT this feature is the one and only reason why I use OneNote over Evernote at work, and Evernote just for personal use. Please update your linking features!

Hi all! Afaik, Evernote search supports either boolean AND (just concatenate search terms) or boolean OR (use "any: ..."). Is there any way available now or planned for future releases to support full boolean search, that is: combine both methods. Real life example: I use Evernote to keep track of my tax records and for my yearly tax declaration. For this I have tagged all relevant notes with tags "tax", "<year>" (e.g. "2013") and "tax-longterm". Tag combinations like "tax 2013" mean "this is a document relevant for 2013 tax declaration". But there are also older documents I need each year, like rental agreement contract from 2005. For this I use the additional tag "tax-longterm". Any document tagged with "tax-longterm" means: "this is relevant for this year's tax declaration, regardless of the year with which it is tagged". So my rental agreement is tagged with "2005 tax tax-longterm". When I want to create ONE Evernote search that gives me all relevant documents for 2013 tax declaration, I'd like to search for something like "any: (tag:tax tag:2013) tag:tax-longterm" meaning: "give me all documents that are tagged with 'tax 2013' OR 'tax-longterm'". But unfortunately, Evernote search doesn't support bracketed searches or any other kind of combining search terms with AND or OR as of now. Does anybody know a trick, hack to make this work? Hacks like combining tags "tax" and "2013" into one tag "tax2013" are no good since I use the year tag for lots of other purposes and don't want to end up with a gazillion combined tags like "house2013" and "income2013". The way I do it now is to use two separate searches "tax 2013" and "tax-longterm", but this becomes tiresome when you have to switch back and forth between both. Thanks for your help! Ax

The latest Skitch update (2.8.4) appears to attempt to support Dark Mode. However in the UI many of the elements (including text) haven't been updated to be seen on a dark background. Therefore we have dark text on a dark background, which makes things difficult to read. Note the elements along the bottom of the Skitch capture window in the attached screenshot.

@malbright Thanks for reaching out! Please see the following information: Evernote for Mac has some local search tables in the app in addition to server delivered search results. Because of this, you may need to reindex your Evernote for Mac app if you're noticing inaccurate search results. In this case, do the following: Open Evernote on your Mac: Hold down the Option key on your keyboard and select Help from your Mac's menu bar. Select Troubleshooting > Recreate Full Text Search Index And then: Open Evernote on your Mac Hold down the option key on your keyboard and select Help from the Mac Menu Bar Select Troubleshooting > Recreate Spotlight Search Index After following the steps above, you won't have any kind of indicator or progress bar stating the index is on going or done, but normally after 20 minutes you can search and it should be working as expected. Let me know how this works for you, and if the issue persists!

No; there's no configuration option for default reminder date/time There's a request posted at the link below. You can add your vote

All “support” menu items within Skitch link to this user forum. So I don’t think it’s that outrageous to assume that posting an issue here is 1. The correct place and 2. might get seen by someone working on Skitch. But hey I’m just a software developer, so what the hell do I know.

Hmm, am I the only one using Skitch on Mojave in Dark Mode?

Unfortunately, based on our current architecture and database design, it's NOT an easy change. It comes down to entity relationships (parent-child). Adding multiple levels of notebook nesting in the current architecture is just not doable. We've made certain consolations like Stacks or Spaces (for business customers), but these are basically giving you one additional level via a new entity type (vs. entities being able to relate to entities of the same type). We're currently actively rearchitecting a lot of the system. Changes in the system should allow for more flexibility in the future around entity relationships. I can't speak to any specific initiatives to allow for multiple levels of notebooks, but it should theoretically become easier in the future once we've completed our current work.

Thank you both (gazumped and CalS). At the moment you cannot add rows on Evernote's web version of the platform. Got it! Thanks for the suggestions. I already add extra rows, 5-10. Sometimes I just run out and would be nice to easily have the ability to add a row.
