I use, exclusively, the Checkbox format for all my notes. We need to be able to sort contents of these notes -- should be options to do this: 1) alphabetical by items in the list 2) By Unchecked Vs Checked (and alphabetical as a secondary sort, within the unchecked/checked caterogries) 3) by date modified All sort criteria should have the option for direction of sort, for both secondary and primary sorts. (By "direction" I mean like A-Z or Z-A) In case you can only implement this in parts, please do the following as highest priority -- Sort Unchecked before Checked. PLEASE. But we really need alphabetical within that also. Thank you. Please understand that this is IMPORTANT for MANY users. We have been troubled and annoyed by this deficiency for many years. Frankly, it's surprising that a product as good as Evernote should be lacking in functionality for something so basic. I tried to post this issue on one of the Evernote Forums some years ago, but was dismayed to see rude responses to this very suggestion from other users. So, I have refrained from posting anything to the forums. Your forums should be monitored by people who treat all users with respect and dignity. Hopefully, someone will finally take this seriously. Thank you.

Hi , I think it is would be cool and useful if the Table in evernote could do some basic Calculation like excel , no need so complex like what excel do , but some calculation between cell. This can Help a lot when someone want to sum the value of ingredient for example or many things that need some basic calculation . Well , that is what tables usually used for , isn't it . It would be much help rather than manually calculate the value one by one in the table . Hope you would reconsider this Idea , Thank you .

Hello, I love the code block feature that was added. However, I think it has some down falls. Mostly, I think it is lacking in text formatting. An amazing feature would be for Evernote to recognize some popular coding languages and be able to color code variables and other identifiers. At the very least, I wish the code block kept my formatting when I copied and paste from a text editor. I often copy and paste code from SQL management Studio hoping for the color coding to stay, which it does not. If I copy into a normal section, it is fine but, the code block removes the color formatting. (I have tried pasting with match style, does not work). I think this would make Evernote more robust and be able to reach a larger audience. Mainly, extend reach to developers who would like a place to effectively store their code for reuse. Thank you for taking the time to consider this idea!

@DTLow and @CalS, hi there. Turns out that the only tag nested under "sauce" was "sauce.cheese" which explains why they were both selected! 🤣

An Issue dragging for almost a month requires a ticket, really????? And from the posts above it seems a ticket has been opened already. Apparently EN is reading the forum, so what did they sleep on this or what? This one is significant!!!! I will open a ticket to cancel my subscription, yes.

Moderators, Gurus where are you if needed.!!!!! The Android v 8.9 is not working now for almost a month. EN it is a BS. Your are forcing us to update to a non-working versions, what a BS. All the time I was careful not to automatically update, one time I skip it and here you go, I got infected with EN, What a BS. And as usual EN is silent, no response. Go to hell. I am a paid subscriber and I want my money back. It happened before, enough of the BS.

Hello. I often want to copy and paste something from the internet using the mac app. Why can't I copy and paste without formatting or to 'match the style' of the note that I'm typing in. This seems like a basic request. Maybe I am missing how to do this. Thanks

Same problem - unable to search for any item. Automatically updated from Google Play on two Android devices (Oneplus and Lenovo tablet). Both are on EN version 8.9(1082873). Prior to update, searching on both devices was working fine. Reported problem to EN support and sent them log files. To make the situation worse, I am unable to access EN from an Android browser - message "Sorry, Evernote Web is not supported on Android browsers". So in essence, current EN on Android is not usable at all for anything but data entry.

The master version of your data is stored on the Evernote servers. You can verify your data is ok using the web platform at www.evernote.com Confirm your data is ok, and then we can advise on fixing your device problem

Took a look as well. Notion seems stronger in building workflows and cockpits / dashboards. Looks nicer, GUI is more flexible. But I have not found the massive, reliable data silo with good-to-perfect retrieval I need for my usecase. So for me it is EN for the next future. This is plainly personal, others may evaluate features differently, and everybody has an own usecase to support.

How can Evernote not fix this hours after it's discovered? This sort of problem is so fundamental, they should do a code rollback to the previous version. In the meantime they're releasing dark mode improvements?! Evernote: why?!

Extrapolating slightly from this: part of the advantage Evernote's competitors have is precisely that Evernote already has so many users who are used to using it in a specific way, which can tend to make a business cautious about trying to get those users to do something different. (Search the forums for "WTF, where did my X go?") The competitors, starting from scratch, don't have anyone to disappoint or annoy, so they can start with when EN has developed and freely experiment from there. This is not a defense of everything EN has ever done or failed to do, just an observation about why competitors might seem to catch up or get ahead fast.

+1 on this. What happened?! Presentation mode used to be sexy - people were impressed by it. Now I'm embarrassed to use it - I'm going to put this into Keynote now. Please fix! I used this feature all. the. time.

Hi. I admire your patience, because I gave up creating long multi-pic documents and lists directly in Evernote years ago. The trick of using any software - it seems to me - is in recognising the strengths and weaknesses of each app, and maybe using more than one for a given task. I tend to use a 'proper' word processor (forinstance) to create any long documents - and then attach the file, with an executive summary or keywords, to an Evernote note so that 1) I can find it with a search, and 2) it's available wherever I need to access it. I use Workflowy for lists of all kinds and TickTick for a calendar and project manager. I can copy and paste lists to Evernote if I need to, or Workflowy shows my account wherever there's network access. Evernote saves and finds all sorts of files and notes very effectively, and glues my system together as a centralised searchable index of resources and information. It doesn't - amongst many other things - lay out pages with defined image sizes: that's not a 'bug', it's just something the app wasn't intended to provide.

I’m a powere user of Evernote and the loss of this capability drove me crazy. But fortunately I found another solution for creating horizontal lines in both my iPad and iPhone. Instead of typing three hyphens like we use to be able to do ....type three asterisks *** and click enter. Hope this helps
