I feel on the biggest missing features is native support for Markdown. Please add native Markdown to Evernote.

If you 'delete notes, they wind up in the Trash 'notebook', where you can easily undelete them. Note that Trash is itself searchable. If you then delete them from the Trash. then you'll be prompted that the deletion is permanent. In other words, you need to work at it to delete things permanently.

I rely on personal backups for this type of recovery. I can search my backup files on a Mac; the contents are indexed.

I agree with the blog post from the CEO said and I’m excited to hear it. The only thing I wished he had touched on was security. Specifically note level security. That’s the one thing that keeps me from putting more into EN. I don’t consider this a feature but a core requirement for an app like this. I guess a majority don’t share this concern and thats fine. I do like the rest of what he said. The app already had many of the features an app in this category should have. It also sets the expectation that new features will not be added this year. As I said my only disappointment with his message was security especially since that was such a big deal last year.

I made no such comment. In fact, I started this discussion with the CEO's post. My comment was to the point that not everyone will be interested in specific features implemented, or problems fixed. We should be tolerant of the priorities, instead of labeling them "mindless ...that nobody asked for" Quoting Ian in the above blog undoubtedly we will still disappoint some of you—whether it’s because you don’t like the way we choose to fix something, or we don’t prioritize a particular bug that drives you around the bend, or because with an eye to coherence and consistency we redesign and streamline a particular feature upon which your workflow is built. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams ,it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Hi, I am a user of Evernote Premium and I love the core Evernote ideology of having the best search around. However, I am very interested in using evernote for digital note taking via handwriting on a Samsung tablet with s-pen. The following are a few features that would make this functionality much more useful to me: 1. More stroke width options - The smallest stroke width is still way too big for me. I want to be able to write small. 2. Ability to set background to lined paper 3. Support for pressure sensitive input from s-pen, asus pen, etc. 4. Ability to zoom in/out and pan - Currently it just lets me add pages. I do not like writing close to the edges of the tablet because it is not comfortable when I am writing on the couch. 5. More pen colors and highlighting. Upvote if you also want one or more of these features. Thank you for making my experience the best it can be. Please let me know if any of this functionality is in the works or when I could expect to see these.

I'd like to be able to use a single application to take handwritten notes as well as clip articles from the web. Right now I need to use two separate apps. It would be good to at least introduce palm rejection in evernote for the drawing function. Ideally Evernote itself could handle the functions currently performed by evernote so there is no need to even sync between the two apps.
