I feel on the biggest missing features is native support for Markdown. Please add native Markdown to Evernote.

Howdy all, I want to thank you all for the feedback. I'm an engineering manager here at Evernote and one of my teams is responsible for rebuilding this functionality. Due to a security-related bug in the Ghostscript software that underpinned this service, we made the decision to disable it while we worked in parallel on a suitable replacement. We didn't make this decision lightly and keeping your notes secure is one of our first principles. We're working hand in hand with our security team to ensure the new solution adheres to that principle. While we've been hard at work re-architecting this functionality, I understand the process has not been fast enough for those of you who rely heavily on it. To that end, I'm doubling-down resources on this and we expect to have a working replacement very soon. In the mean time, our desktop clients (Mac, Windows) support local PDF thumbnail rendering for those of you who have that option

Hi All, I’m very excited to announce the launch of the FAQ & Best Practices section within the Evernote Discussion forums! The FAQ & Best Practices section will contain posts and articles that were either directly created by Evernote Staff, or were created by other users and approved by Evernote Staff. Public posting within the FAQ or Best Practices will be restricted to ensure that the content posted stays on topic, and posts/replies will only be visible when approved by a staff moderator. The purpose of the FAQ section is to provide in-depth articles that answer frequently asked questions we receive from our users, as well as to provide resources to better enable them to troubleshoot or fix the issue themselves. The Best Practices section is to feature workflows and best practices from our staff, and the community, that may help a user maximize their forum and Evernote experience. If you have any ideas or suggestions on what topics you’d like to see covered, or just general questions/concerns, please feel free to reach out to Shane D. via DM. I appreciate your consideration, and thank you for using Evernote!

Hi, I am a user of Evernote Premium and I love the core Evernote ideology of having the best search around. However, I am very interested in using evernote for digital note taking via handwriting on a Samsung tablet with s-pen. The following are a few features that would make this functionality much more useful to me: 1. More stroke width options - The smallest stroke width is still way too big for me. I want to be able to write small. 2. Ability to set background to lined paper 3. Support for pressure sensitive input from s-pen, asus pen, etc. 4. Ability to zoom in/out and pan - Currently it just lets me add pages. I do not like writing close to the edges of the tablet because it is not comfortable when I am writing on the couch. 5. More pen colors and highlighting. Upvote if you also want one or more of these features. Thank you for making my experience the best it can be. Please let me know if any of this functionality is in the works or when I could expect to see these.

Hi , I think it is would be cool and useful if the Table in evernote could do some basic Calculation like excel , no need so complex like what excel do , but some calculation between cell. This can Help a lot when someone want to sum the value of ingredient for example or many things that need some basic calculation . Well , that is what tables usually used for , isn't it . It would be much help rather than manually calculate the value one by one in the table . Hope you would reconsider this Idea , Thank you .

$149? Best I can tell it's free for 10 phrases, $5 for "standard" and $25 for "pro" Not sure which version is needed for a simple date insert, but it is no cost to find out.

I flagged your post for the administrators to look into. Other users are reporting the same issue. You could open a support ticket, but not with a Basic account ..... 😊 In the meantime, check your account settings and see if you're really using a Premium account

That looks like the Evernote Web interface (not the Windows desktop app), and I also don't see audio in the Web interface. It is present and functioning for me in the Windows desktop program and in Android (which is the focus of this forum). In Android, for a new audio note, Audio (with a microphone icon) is one of the choices when I tap the + icon to create a new note. If you're not seeing that try Settings > Notes > Customize + Button. To add audio to an existing note, I can use the Attach (paperclip) icon. Hope this helps.

I put the $ in the note title for easy access. Evernote is the tool for collecting the data; it's not the right app for totalling and reporting I copy the note titles to a spreadsheet for reporting In this sample Details is the note title, and a link to the note in Evernote The other columns are parsed from the note title, tags and other metadata I use the spreadsheet to produce budget and expense reports.

Ha-ha -- I'd say that that more or less the nutshell version of "dealing with other humans" (AKA the human condition). Most of us struggle with that; I know I do. But understanding another's needs is only one aspect, in this case; the other piece of the equation is balancing one's own situation with someone else's needs. It's usually a bancing act. . Or to put it into context, many feature requests vs. finite resources. In that world, you take your best guess at what's important, and try to do that.

My thought's exactly. I can imagine that multiple colours in the highlighter are more important than the ability to hyperlink a phrase 🤷🏻‍♂️

Your question is a bit of a head-scratcher. What possible "ulterior motive" could there be? What' do you think? Is there a conspiracy underlying this? Do we need to launch a federal investigation? I suspect that the answer is somewhat more prosaic. I can think of lots of reasons why Evernote might not implement this particular feature, but none of them are ulterior. They're just part of what any developer goes through when deciding which features get implemented and which ones don't. The article Minus 100 Points illustrates one way to think about it, in the context of deciding which features ought to go into the C# programming language: "Every feature starts out in the hole by 100 points, which means that it has to have a significant net positive effect on the overall package for it to make it into the language. Some features are okay features for a language to have, they just aren't quite good enough to make it into the language". Also, remember that every feature requires resources that are taken away from other features. Personally, I think that it wold be cool to have sortable tables, with the ability to have spreadsheet-like formulas etc., and I know that that's not a huge technological task, but I'd have to rate that as nice-to-have, but probably not a requirement for a lot of Evernote's users. It's most likely really that simple.

Hey @Vincent Noel, Thanks for reporting this. We have a ticket open with engineering to address this and it should be fixed soon. Thanks for reporting!

I have the same issue, not using at work but at home, it will not load the new interface, I did upgrade my Google Chrome to the latest build and still it does not matter. I also tried with firefox but it will not load. Issue is I have a meeting in one hour. Also I can't seem to share my notes? I had them in a stack but then placed them out. I then invited some friends to these notes but they do not see anything, just a note from months ago.

Thanks Rich. I have blocked the cookie. I don't even have a facebook account, and am bothered by how much Facebook still tracks me. I don't want Facebook OR ANY social network to know what I am doing on Evernote. It is one thing to have it on the general evernote.com site for likes or whatever, but quite another IMHO when I am logged into my account. That should be bare bones to allow Evernote's service to function, not to retarget users on social media sites, or provide Facebook any data for EN users that don't have Facebook accounts.

[note] F4: apply the latest formatting option used. [note] shift+click on tag: refine the list to show the notes tagged only (and keep context). shift+click again on the tag to toggle the behavior.

I try to keep my daily hours worked per project in a table in Evernote. I would like this function so I can have the table tally each day and project for me.

Hi All, You may have noticed that all threads requesting different highlighter colors have been merged into this thread, regardless of platform specificity. This was done in order to better enable us to quantify and qualify user requests, and amplify their voice. While this does not mean this is a feature that will be coming, we certainly want to relay user feedback/sentiment to our various teams. Moving forward, please put all commentary and votes for different highlighter colors here!

I would love to see Grammarly incorporated into Evernote. Evernote is my preferred platform for writing but Grammarly offers the tools I need to write better. Together = ???
