I'm running High Sierra and just updated Evernote. Font rendering is now much worse. Don´t know if it's quite visible in the screen attached, but... Anyone noticed this?

Until EN find the time to help us EN-for-Windows users also have a Dark-Mode Feature/Option, like was introduced for IOS and Android a few days ago, I believe I have stumbled upon a great little Dark-Mode workaround. This workaround is BETTER than just creating an EN Template that consists of a Single Row/Column Table that has a Dark Cell-Background... And not as involved (as I'm not a Coder/Computer Guy) to implement, as the More Complete and excellent solution that @RobertJSawyer graciously developed and shared with us all. I was reading a post the other day about someone importing Excel tables when @ctxhou promoted his 'EverTool' (ET) app as a solution. I went and purchased the app on the MS-Store for $7.45 AUD, mostly just for the ability to create Heading Banners in a Note, plus the feature of being able to Resize Images quickly. Anyway whilst creating a Text-Banner using ET, I realised I could use this feature to create a dark-mode note background, then save it as a template (see template image). Whats great about this workaround, is the new Note background auto resizes when using key 'F10' on EN Windows to hide the left panel + I can use the note like any other note, by adding tables/images etc and further formatting (see images with and without left panel) I use EN-for-Windows 95% of the time, and then might use EN on my iPad and Android Phone for the remainder. I have activated dark-mode for both these devices...but wanted to make sure that any colours I used re this Dark-Mode workaround still looked good on the above dark-mode enabled devices, as they tend to inverse the colours... so I went through some colour combinations, and reckon the last 3 look great. All you have to do is enter the RGB colour-values on the ET tool to create your own custom theme, then apply to your note, add a few line breaks, then save as a template...voila. IF EN does get around to giving us Dark Mode in the next 5 years (or later) and you need to clear the background, just use the Note 'highlight text' icon twice and it will be remove though a slight margin will remain. This is so simple, looks great, though not a complete dark-mode overhaul, as it's just the note background, but easy to do...and No I am not getting any commissions from the ET app/developer 😉

Mac apps that handle rich text usually have Copy Style / Paste Style commands. These allow you to copy just the style of selected text and then paste just the style onto selected text. For example: TextEdit, Notes, Mail. It would be great if you could add those to Evernote including their standard keyboard shortcuts: Copy Style (Command-Option-C) Paste Style (Command-Option-V) It is particularly frustrating to move from Notes, which supports those commands, to Evernote Mac, which currently does not. Thanks.

Can there please be an honest response as to why fundamental problems such as these aren't where your development resource and effort is being applied? Why put this effort into Dark Mode - a feature that's only available in the latest version of macOS - when Spotlight integration has been broken for such a long time? See also my previous comment about the search highlighting problem.

Or if it's a reasonably short list, you can use the scroll wheel if you have one to get to the end, and then Shift+LeftClick to select the sequence. My my mouse has a button you can press that makes the scroll wheel spin freely, so it can move quite a distance on one spin.

Can't speak for Google Keep import, but you can use cloudHQ to export your notes from Evernote

@jefito Yeah, from Evernote's perspective, those are two different emails. We use Gmail for our evernote.com email provider. So for internal testing, I always just add "+sometext" to my email address (before the "@" symbol) to generate a unique email address from Evernote's point of view. To Gmail, though, it's just the same email address. That way I always get all the emails to my main account, but can have unique accounts for testing purposes.

I spoke with the Windows team and they have a fix for this issue. It should be in the next release.

I am experiencing the same issue with Evernote 7..6 on macOS High Sierra. the text is blurry and hard to read unless you are viewing the note in a separate editor window.

Since new tables were introduced there is a blank line above the table to accommodate the table UI and another blank line above that. Delete the top blank line and it will return. Similar at the bottom of the table, there is a blank line but it can't be accessed. It is on purpose for whatever reason.

It sounds as if the Evernote program is inserting that apparently blank line as a buffer of some kind between the table and the surrounding text--exactly what you don't want them to do, but perhaps necessary for the way the underlying code creates and controls the table. Sounds like it might be safer to just accept the inevitable and live with the blank line and whatever necessitates its presence.

@jr1122 What version of AVG? Do you have an updated virus database? Virus scan results : https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/c3a044aee8b02774f3ef855d103613e3abb9d5060277101250d3bfc036c4da6b/details https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/38d511c6938f42890e22a8bfe73bea2f78843922ef7d5516d3151c91c1e99650/detection You can add an exception in AVG.

Hi. Always best to report possible bugs in the release thread for that version - we're a (mainly) user-supported forum, so Evernote might not see related posts as quickly as you'd like out here in the general comments. Not sure whether this is a bug or a design choice, but I agree Tables and line spacing don't seem to get on that well. Worth bringing to Evernote's attention, though you might have to live with this for a while... I'll flag it up in the main thread.

I’d recommend uninstalling AVG and just use Windows defender. Installing anything else is just another attack surface. And with the new sandbox mode on Win10, defender is an additional form of protection other AV cannot match. https://www.tomsguide.com/us/windows-defender,review-2209.html

Just in case, I'd consider uninstalling EN with something like Revo Uninstaller, running a complete virus scan to be sure you don't have a Win32/Heri virus. and then download the current version and reinstall.

    Report it to AVG: https://www.avg.com/en-us/false-positive-file-form

Turn off the virus and try again to see if it is the virus program.

What version are you running. I think 6.16.4 has fixed the issue for me. No re adds within it thus far. Still catching up with some first time add backs.

Please bring back the Atlas view (or location filter, or whatever you want to call it - it's the function that matters). This is particularly important for mobile devices, but is also very useful on the desktop. Being able to search by latitude and longitude is not a viable substitute. Example: I snap a photo in Evernote on my iPhone of an interesting looking restaurant when I dropped my daughter off somewhere. Two years later, we are in the same neighborhood with time for a bite to eat, but we can't remember the name of the restaurant. Before Atlas was removed from the iOS app, this would be another "Evernote for the win!" moment - I could open the app, check notes created nearby, and pull up the photo of the restaurant, giving me the name as well as the precise location. With the current app, there is simply no way to retrieve that information.

We need support for links like "things:///show?id=" to improve integration with other productivity applications. As it stands, Evernote Mac can't link those even using CMD-K.

Improve location handling all around! Another example, please let me set the location for any note (not just default to my mobile location). Use case: As a Realtor, if I could import property data sheets and set the address/location Evernote will be my holy grail when combined with an atlas/location view.
