Dark mode looks good - that awful Share button looks even more Fisher Price (https://www.fisher-price.com) than it did before. It's OK to put your hands up and say you made a mistake....(you really did make a mistake).

Evernote Wizards. Please, give us a dark theme. My eyes are bleeding with how bright your default theme is. (both web & desktop) No suprise, it is mostly white. A great choice for clean design, but ultimately a fail for intensive use. Please, give us a dark theme. Best Regards, Your Paying Customer

DARK MODE is here If you are on macOS Mojave, you will be able to enable Dark Mode. There is a known issue with Drag and Drop, but it will be fixed in the next Beta build. To download the beta, go HERE

WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Just 6 days before my membership lapsed! Now I have to decide if I'm too hooked on Notion or not. THANK YOU EVERNOTE!

This has frustrated me also to the point that I stopped taking notes in Evernote. It had become too difficult to use. I did notice today that when I turned off "Context" under Settings/Notes it seems to be working properly for me again. Does this workaround work for you all?

Does anyone here experience the same problem? for about a month now, new PDFs scanned to Evernote don't have a preview anymore in iOS. In Windows and OSX preview works fine and even for older PDFs, the preview in iOS is working. Only new stuff no longer has a preview and only in iOS. Has anyone noticed the same?

Great that Evernote supports 2-factor authentication via Google authenticator. What about support for the Fido U2F keys, such as from Yubico? Far more convenient way to get 2-factor authentication!

Select the note, press Ctrl-Help, click on "Fix selected Notes", then sync. The note should go away after that.
  10. 1 point
Go to that view and then do a File - Exit. That should then be the view that appears each time you start EN. Also, it looks like you have a sync issue based upon the red exclamation mark on top of the sync icon. Try holding the Ctrl key and pressing sync to see if you have any notes with issues.

Gazumped, thanks for the answer. I use MoonReader (Android) to listening ebooks by TTS. This is great feature to listening the text. This will be great that Evernote can use TTS. After some time, maybe? Now, every time I have to prepare separate text file with notes and import them to MoonReader. This spend a lot of time and isn't flexible. This is impossible to stop the car, export again new set of notes to separate text file and import them to MoonReader. This will be grate just to tap button "Read note".

The change would be a whole lot less annoying if they hadn't deleted the Reminder button (alarm clock) and replaced it with the Share button. I use Reminders daily; i use Share never. Now i have to go into the "..." menu to set a reminder. The buttons should be reversed.

Hi. Evernote is just like any other app - if you use a different login, you'll create a separate account. Are you using the installed desktop version, or a browser account via Evernote.com? (He will need his own email address.) If you both use the same profile on your computer, you might run into some problems - using the browser clipper might result in new notes being created in the wrong account. If he logs into the computer using his own separate account, you'll be fine. Make sure you back up your database before you start adding accounts though, just in case... How to back up (export) and restore (import) notes and notebooks - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005557 That link will also help you if he has important notes to move into his account, but beware that the upload limit for a Basic account is 60MB per month - if there are lots of notes that he wants, you'd be better off sharing the notes with his account when he has one.

Well I hope it wasn’t really designed that way! PDFs downloaded prior to the last update are still able to be previewed in the thumbnails pane, but any downloaded since are not. I definitely want that function reinstated to be able to preview all PDFs.

I only upgraded from v. 6.7.6 to 6.15.3 recently, and I found the bold font quite helpful too. All a matter of taste and what one finds useful, in the end.

Same here. Frankly, due to this, I am losing interest in using EN on my iPhone.

I am wondering if the latest bad news about Evernote will lead to a change in how Evernote prioritizes Customer requests. I believe situation could be as follows: - Evernote is a unicorn company with >300m VC money in it - Goal is to become a company like Dropbox, Slack (IPO candidate and so on) - B2C business alone is probably sufficient to finance the business, but it's not really great (<100m revenues p.a. and very limited growth potential, I guess the VCs are hoping for much more) - Therefore: Full focus on getting Evernote into companies, just as Dropbox or Slack, as companies are the much better customers given their high willingness to pay (once they have decided that they really need a software) - In the last months they must have realized that this has failed. Evernote is too differentiated to become a standard solution for enterprises like Dropbox or Slack. - Management must have recognized that couple of competitors are now pushing in the market, trying to take away the B2C business from Evernote. Due to Evernotes Focus on B2B there are plenty open spots where competitors can attack (simple stuff like a good UI, Dark mode, Markdown support and so on) - My hope is that the management and shareholders have realized that Evernote must react now by getting focus back to B2C business (i.e. implement now the features the users are asking for and stop them switching to competitors) if they don't want to lose their core asset, the gigantic B2C community and finally lose everything. By the way: That the CTO has left the company is from my point of view a good development. Evernote is an unstable piece of software and obviously the technical foundation is so complicated that ultra-simple features like different markdown colors can't get implemented in a short amount of time. This situation is not good for a company like Evernote. And this is what a CTO is responsible for.

@DTLow and @FabioFS, Thanks for your help with this. We found the source of the problem on our end. We have a ticket filed and will work on a fix. Try the steps below to restore functionality of the feature in the meantime. In the Finder, hold down Option key, open the Go menu, and choose Library Open the "PDF Services" folder in there (Create a new one if it doesn't exist) From the File menu, choose New Finder Window open the Go menu, and choose Applications Drag Evernote.app from Applications into the "PDF Services" folder while holding down Command and Option keys so that it will create an alias file (you'll see a curved arrow over the icon to indicate it will be an alias) Rename that alias file "Save PDF to Evernote" Now try to print something

There is an open source solution that uses the web interface, but it is a software: Tusk How I found it: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/tusk-is-a-free-evernote-client-for-windows Official website : https://klauscfhq.github.io/tusk/ Download : https://github.com/klauscfhq/tusk/releases/tag/v0.11.0 You have to like the web interface, personally I prefer the Evernote's desktop client interface, but at least there are dark themes. A precision, during the installation under Windows, there is no shortcut creation. Tusk is installed in C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\tusk\ So you need to create a shortcut to the.exe file on the desktop or pin it to the taskbar.

ATTN: @Evernote: ( @Chantal Leonard, @Johnathan Hebert, @Jason Miller ) : Please ensure that when you update EN Mac to be compatible with macOS Mojave, that you support the great new Dark Mode. This is truly a great advance of the Mac UI, making it much easier on the eyes to view the Mac screen, not just during the night, but at all hours. A dark screen is much less harmful. Thanks.

I was able to resolve this. I have No-Script installed and I allowed zen desk related stuff (zdassets etc). Not sure if that was related to Evernote or Evernote web clipper though, or just the related to the pages I currently had open. The other thing I did was allow third party cookies, then checked all the Evernote-related hosts. (Note the first one starts with a . ) Then I saved those changes, and re-enabled Blocking Third-Party Cookies.

And AustinG has replied to my Evernote support ticket ("Chris" is Evernote CEO O'Neill, who responded to me on Twitter); we now have official confirmation, for the first time in four years, from both the CEO and from product support, that this is being worked on:

I would love to see Grammarly incorporated into Evernote. Evernote is my preferred platform for writing but Grammarly offers the tools I need to write better. Together = ???

Evernote as of late struggles to simply turn out a stable version of the Windows client. Every time they update new features, like tables, some other basic function of text editing breaks. It seems to me that the unicorn has died and we are dealing with the ashes. Innovation has left the building. Evernote is struggling to get basic features like tables and text editing working. While other products support Markdown, dark themes, code block formatting, etc. Evernote struggles to deliver the basics. New products like Paper, Keep, Notion and Index are innovating and catching up. The moment there is feature parity with another solution I'm moving. Even Microsoft has a dark theme for Office now.

It's been very difficult to gauge what the people at Evernote are even thinking. I think there has been a total of Zero response from them about this issue in all this time. From time to time there is the response from some casual forum member who has jumped to a conclusion that we only want it to be completely dark ... even have to wonder at them, do they not use other modern software that has "Themes" and gives them choices. With the amount of requests over the long period of time ~and no response at all.. I can only assume their thoughts are that we are to; "Use it the way we give it to you -- or don't use it -- We don't care" I don't know what other conclusion it's possible to reach. I've kept in the forum on the ever-decreasing hope that they'll actually decide to be responsive to customer requests. But, their software is gone from my systems and so is my financial support. If they decide that their customers are of any value, I'll be happy to reconsider.

+++++++++ There isn't a number for how many upvotes I would give this request on ANY piece of software. The option to change themes shouldn't even be in question. Why isn't it already implemented? There must be some reason that you developers have chosen to ignore 7 years of your customers telling you what they want. I read page 1, and then page 19. Page 1 was from 2013 and somebody said the actual request was 3 year before that. That is 7 years and there is still no option? What is the point of a dark sidebar when the separate note window is still blindingly white? Is it ever going to be implemented? Every single one of my tools is in dark mode. I was going to add Evernote to my list but until there is a proper dark theme I'll have to go elsewhere. P.S. My eyes are bleeding right now

Workaround, change the recent edit (updated) date of the note to 12/12/2030 or the like if you sort in reverse order. No official way to pin notes. You can do some note placement with reminders but typically a PITA if you have a lot of notes in the mix. EDIT: should you ever modify the note you will need to change the updated date to maintain the "pinning".

Is there a way to "pin" a note to the top of a notebook. My notes sort by most recent edit which I love. But I would like to have one note stay at the top, like TOC or summary. Any ideas?
