  1. Hi. There's a feature in Evernote > Tools > Options > Clipping to 'clip to selected notebook' and a 'choose notebook' option.

  2. There's a big feature missing in evernote shared notebooks. There should be a feature of getting notifications and alerts when someone edits a share note or notebook.

  3. I have a shortcut that consists of dictate text and create new note. When I use that it opens an audio box that captures what is spoken and then translates it to text and saves it to an Evernote.

  6. UPDATE - SOLUTION On Windows 10 I have now found a way to make it work. If one goes to the template page (https://www.evernote.com/templates) and you select a template - it DOES add it to your template library if you are logged into Evernote in a separate window on the same browser. It is massively confusing because the template page asks to SIGN UP or LOG IN - and if you do so - you immediately lose that page. I can't find any sequence or solution to showing it LOGGED IN - but it doesn't seem to matter. When you then go to add a NEW NOTE (in Evernote Windows) There is a small icon labeled TEMPLATE in the body that allows you to select from those you added on the template page. At Evernote.com however the OLD evernote does not give you this option. You must go to YOUR ACCOUNT on the bottom left of the Evernote.com page, and select (something similar to) TRY NEW EVERNOTE WEB LAYOUT). This will take about 10-15 seconds to load and when you add a new note - it also has the templates you have selected.

  7. I am having the same issue. Tried on my Mac and a Windows laptop using Chrome. The template saved saved but does not. I can not find any other way to load or save and templates.

  9. PLEASE get rid of that UGLY green share button at the top of every note. A feature I'll never use and at the very least should have an optioned to be turned off. What a crazy thing to assume it's that useful for everyone

  10. Hello, I tried today to install 6.5.4.4720 version (because it's the best) but on log in it showed ''lack of connectivity'' error and I was unable to log in. I've used this exact .exe install file previously, so I suspect that Evernote has cut off support for this version. Has anyone heard about it? Has it done it before and if yes, how long it usually takes? Thanks a bunch !

  11. I'm a long-time premium Evernote customer and am really trying to like this service. Until recently I have simply used Evernote as a "web clipper," bookmarking sites so that I could access them across my devices. Templates (meeting notes, etc.) look like a useful tool but, regardless of how many I "Save to Evernote," none are ever ever available when I create a new note--there's no "Template" icon. Other posters suggest that I should upgrade my Evernote software, but I'm using Evernote through the browser. Are templates only available if I download (one more annoying) app? Why do I not see them when logged in through my browser??

  12. Same. On Windows 10 with both latest Evernote 6.15 (auto updated) and evernote.com web version. NO templates. On template page I'm logged off even if I'm logged in on another screen. But templates do not appear anywhere.

  13. Reposting this to answer everyone's questions. Evernote Team blocked Evernote versions older than 6.7.6 due to a security flaw they found. They are refusing to create patches for older versions. I'm pissed because the newer versions beyond 6.5.4 have wide GIANT ASS margins on the sides. My employees use small monitors mounted to the wall, and I have spacing constraints. The margins reserved for tables make no sense. The devs could have made a floating table toolbar instead. Anyways. They state that they are only supporting 6.7.6 and higher due to this security flaw. However, the patch they released for 6.7.6 is broken. So, you'll have to upgrade to 6.8.7. When they fix 6.7.6, then you can jump to that. Link to 6.8.7->> https://filehippo.com/download_evernote/80354/

  14. 6.5.4 works. Has eyeball icon to view photos and text is WYSIWYG on clip. Clipping on recent versions are boxed with a scroll line (vertically) to see all data. How is this productive ?

  15. One of Evernote's iOS App's BIGGEST FAILINGS is not allowing choice of a default font and size. YOUR PRODUCT AND USERS DESERVE BETTER so that the iOS app is consistent with minimal font features of other Evernote products and competitors. This only requires addition of TWO basic features: (1) Selection from a basic list of the usual standard fonts, and (2) selection of the desired font size. How can a text app NOT provide these basics? Any text editor (including Evernote Windows and Web apps, and even the text box I'm using here) allows selection from a standard list of fonts and sizing using equivalent of points (8-72). CURRENT EVERNOTE iOS: No font choices and only 3 poorly implemented size buttons (small, medium, large... whatever these mean). I strongly suggest that you add these essentials as soon as possible. I see that users have left Evernote just because of this key failing. I'm confident Evernote can do this for iOS users.

  16. I moved this from Android Feature Requests to General Feature Requests, as this is not a platform-specific request. I think it's a good idea. While there is a third party option that gazumped linked to above, some may prefer native functionality. Could be a useful feature to add to a tiered level of EN subscription (e.g., Plus or Premium). Maybe EN can buy SureFocus. For those who like the suggestion, add your vote by clicking the up-arrow to the left of the thread title.

  17. I would also suggest to check out ExportNote. It can export all your notes to HTML and/or PDF, including attachments and non-synchronized/local notebooks: http://www.exportnote.com. It also preserves the organization in stack -> notebook -> note. Mandatory disclaimer: I'm the developer of ExportNote. I built this application after realizing there was no easy and reliable way to export all my data with in single click. Feel free to contact me if you have any question or request of feature!

  18. Not really sure that I want more power or responsibility, outside what a moderator can do. I started out on the old forums, learned a little bit about Evernote from other users, thought that Evernote was a cool idea, got into the discussion, and lo, it just sorta became a 'thing'. I like to help out because I still think that Evernote is cool & useful, but sometimes it's a little bit unapproachable for new folks, and if I can pitch them a hint or two, then maybe they'll think it's cool/useful too. That being said, I'm not obligated to be here every day; I can respond to as many or few posts as I care to, and I don't need to worry about it. I have a job, and that's enough, this is mainly for fun, though there's enough interesting ideas around Evernote that it's interesting to me.

  19. Sorry, no. That's the new design to make the Windows client conform to how our other clients look.

  20. Hi everyone, I lead Evernote's security team. I wanted to make you aware of a recent update to Evernote for Windows versions 6.4–6.7. All Evernote apps connect with our service over HTTPS, which ensures that the data you send between your devices and our service is encrypted. We recently discovered a security vulnerability in older versions of Evernote for Windows that caused affected clients to use HTTP when contacting certain portions of the Evernote Service. This means that if you used one of the vulnerable versions of our Windows client, our software was occasionally sending your authentication token across the Internet using HTTP without first encrypting it. To be clear, your note content, usernames, and passwords were, and continue to be, securely encrypted in transit. Your password is still safe, and you don’t need to change it. To protect customers, we have blocked access from older versions of Evernote for Windows and have done the same for a small number of third party applications. We have also revoked the authentication session tokens for anyone currently running a vulnerable version of our app. If you had previously blocked upgrades beyond version 6.7, we are providing a hotfix that you can download here: https://cdn1.evernote.com/win6/public/Evernote_6.7.6.7584.exe We strongly encourage all customers to update to the latest version of Evernote for Windows. As an additional precaution, you should log out and back in to refresh your authentication token. We have already notified customers that were affected by this directly via email.
